I've decided that I'm no longer just going to steal mostly workable maps for my campaign. I'll just make shitty stuff *quick*.

Here are two random encounter maps I made in an afternoon. I can put these out pretty quickly, so its kind of perfect for a sandbox game like the one I’m running. Keeps things fresh, even if they’re not as pretty as something produced professionally....

The only part of it that I think is really out of place and would make me unhappy is that it’s the first counterspell he used.

If that’s been a pattern and it’s a higher lethality game in general, then all’s fair. But springing a counterspell on them at the last moment might make me a bit… bitter.

Starfield had a lot of issues, and the mid asf performance was a relatively minor one.

Starfield was extremely hyped and extremely mid imo so I’m surprised it got the nomination that it did. If Starfield wins ‘Best RPG’ when Baldur’s Gate 3 is an option I will be incredibly disappointed. Hell, I’d take Lies Of P over Starfield. Might as well fuckin nominate Skyrim again.

Fabricate would work fantastically, and I think you’re underestimating the amount of money you can make with some craftsman stuff.

People will pay a lot for well done custom made stuff. Knives, swords, furniture… all of it is worth a sizable amount once you have any kind of reputation and start taking commissions. I mean thousand dollar chandeliers and multiple thousand dollar tables.

Basically just a list of topics the DM and the players might be uncomfortable with or just not tolerate.

A lot of people use ‘lines and veils’ where a line is a hard no and a veil is fine as long as it’s happening offscreen.

As an example, as the DM I would have sexual assault down as a line. I just don’t want it in my games. A veil would be something where it can happen and be referenced but not occur in front of us or be overly dwelled on. I’d have sex in general as a veil as well as things like torture. I’m just not comfortable enough with those topics to roleplay them actively.

It would require a constitutional amendment to outright ban guns, and our Congress can’t agree on year to year budgeting. Getting the required votes to ban guns would be functionally impossible. Honestly even if it didn’t require an amendment I don’t think it would be realistically passed as a regular law.

So: banning guns outright is off the table entirely.

More gun controls always seemed to be approached in an incredibly stupid way- they tend to ban the scary things rather than the dangerous things.

…beers? 4-5 beers over the course of a night is fine. Especially if you’re a larger person. I’m a pretty big dude and unless I’m shotgunning them I can drink 2-3 beers and barely be tipsy.

I don’t even drink often, either.

Basically every modern cartridge is supersonic unless they’re specifically underpowered to make them subsonic.

The smallest thing you’re going to regularly encounter is .22 LR- for context this is the kind of thing you’d use to hunt very small animals- and even that straddles the line of super/subsonic.

Basically what I’m getting at is that it doesn’t need a “large gun”.

How can I download spotify songs with premium quality without having a Spotify premium

I am talking about downloading to my disk not to Spotify App. Now, is there a way to download songs you like in their highest quality? Zorify and Spot-Dl requires spotify premium and YT-music premium respectively if I am not wrong. What are my options now?...

Well, you’re not like any conservative I’ve ever spoken with. At least not in the America sense of the word- maybe it’s different in a European context.

I tend to drop basically every political topic with anyone that actually identifies themselves that way. In my experience that is not going to lead to any kind of pleasant conversation or debate so I just don’t engage.

“Non-hateful conservative” basically reads like an oxymoron to me.

I’m not a developer, for the record, but I was also pretty impressed with Starfield’s lack of bugs. It’s still got some, but it’s definitely at the ‘normal and acceptable’ level. Not how Bethesda usually releases games.

It’s a couple dialogue lines-

one of Cyberpunk 2077’s Ukrainian dialogue line alters “We’re fucking through” to a Ukrainian phrase that roughly means “Go fuck yourself in the same direction as the ship did”.

One line of police dialogue referring to the game’s Scavengers faction has been altered from the English “Couldn’t all these assholes bite it out in the Badlands?” to a Ukrainian phrase that translates as “Couldn’t all this rusnia bite it out in the Badlands?”

I had a 15 minute session once because I offhandedly gave my players a foldable boat like 15 sessions before. I had intended for them to have to cross a mountain range controlled by Dwarfs who’d ask them to assist with a dragon hunt in exchange for passage.

But instead? Nah, they use boat.

It’s a singleplayer game. Nothing you do can have any effect on the experience other people have with the game.

That’s amusing. I played that a couple months ago. I don’t recall ever selecting a pronoun, but I’m sure I did and then just moved on like a normal person.

It has great bones. The game is incredibly smooth, and the gunplay is fantastic. Their monetization is absolute trash, though. I absolutely despise their seasonal system, and they keep vaulting shit I’ve paid for.

Plus they keep changing the fucking minimum light! Twice since release, I think, they’ve basically reset me so that I’m functionally a brand new player with some neat level 1 exotics I now have to farm shit to keep fusing to level up.
