I am writing exams. I am not in a university. i.e., this is not graded.

This is not HW help tbh! I just want to understand it and understand how to solve it. I don’t have enough time to ponder over each question

How can you share something so that it won't be traced back to you?

I want to give something back to the community and I was wondering if there was any way to share a file (to pirates) so that it won’t be traced back to me? What precautions should I take? Is there metadata attached to the file? How does your computer remember a modification date and date create, is it embedded into it?...

what you work for the government or something? It’s pretty easy to get the genome of Covid right now. It’s open source I think. I can see the future of terrorism from here. Vertasium or Vsauce has a nice video on this.

Why isn't OnionShare more popular among pirating communities?

I was just browsing some torrents lately and anything that isn’t on a torrent is on a website like rapidgator. Rapidgator is ok if you downloading audiobooks, but why aren’t more people using OnionShare to send and receive files? I haven’t used it and I don’t know it’s limitations, but if I ever wanted a file which was...

ohh… I think that’s fair. It might put on a lot of strain on the system. But yeah, I wonder if it is capable of taking it?

Deal with as in how? Politically?

Militarily, politically and morally. The crime we know of and I think it’s evil. What should be the punishment? edit: Yeah, your comment makes sense. I think I would agree with ya there.

18+ [GIANT NSFW] What do we do with evil men?

Let’s say hypothetically a terrorist organization, let’s call them Hamas, attacks a community they hate, let’s say the jews, kill civilians indiscriminately, rape women and then kill them, parade them naked where they live and then spit on their dead bodies. They take hostages and force some women among the hostages into...

How can I download spotify songs with premium quality without having a Spotify premium

I am talking about downloading to my disk not to Spotify App. Now, is there a way to download songs you like in their highest quality? Zorify and Spot-Dl requires spotify premium and YT-music premium respectively if I am not wrong. What are my options now?...

Anonymous_TorPerson,
@Anonymous_TorPerson@lemmy.ml avatar

wait, doesn’t it only list torrents?

I clicked on download files now and it’s asking me to register an account with primeblazer or something like that. I see a lot of dollar signs leaving my account when I sign up

@Anonymous_TorPerson@lemmy.ml avatar

That Direct Download ad at the top brings you to that PrimeBlazer site

I was just clicking on her nice thighs all the time, I doubt if I can resist doing it unless I get an ad blocker. Anyways! thanks lol

Hey, the not ad part is just torrent as you said and torrent here have a low seed count.

Just wondering what you think, didn’t Jamal Khashoggi write articles defending Hisbullah and other terrorist orgs that Saudis didn’t like? I am not justifying the actions of SA, but just wondering here.

edit: oh F, I didn’t read it completely. You lost me at it’s not possible, but now after having read it, you might have a point.

(I might not know what I am talking about, feel free to criticize). And I tried downloading from Spotify directly using yt-dlp.

it’s possible.

Capitalist Musicians

haha… good one. If you are serious, I doubt if we have that many musicians in here (I mean, not enough to manipulate the voting system so badly at least)

You can bind qbittorrent to the vpn network interface.

how do you do this? I use Linux btw

How do you decide which services are worth paying for and which are not?

To what extend are you grateful for free services? I made another post roughly asking, who of you are willingly paying for the stuff you can have for free making life better for all of us. Some of your had interesting answers, some donated to wiki others to bitwarden or to some dev of FOSS software, that’s great, but now,...

To what extend are you grateful for free services?

There are services that are actually free, those who don’t sell your data and still manage to stay afloat. I use a lot of these. I like the Freemium model, I like the fact that the community is paying for my use of a great service till I can stand on my own two feet. So, I was wondering if there were any services you used for...

someone has to bear the voluntary burden to make the service better for everyone else. It’s somewhat of an act of charity, but you are getting a great service you can trust in return for that. And Protonmail/VPN people have proved that they deserve the trust that’s entrusted on them unlike most others.

But, I understand you point of view

Bitwarden. Didn’t take long to start supporting them as the price point is incredibly reasonable.

As a bitwarden user, thank you ;) and I look forward to join you. Bitwarden is an amazing service.

@bpalmerau & @magic_lobster_party

I never ever donated to Wikipedia, I thought, heck, they are famous enough I am pretty sure they won’t go out of business anytime soon and I was right en.wikipedia.org/…/Wikipedia:Fundraising_statisti…. Wikipedia raised about 5M dollars per years from 2016-2021. According to them, it’s to “act as a permanent safekeeping fund to generate income to ensure a base level of support for the Wikimedia projects in perpetuity.” -Wiki

What do you think of that? I mean, I don’t think they need that much to have a financially secure future, do you? I mean, I don’t know how they spend it. Most open source projects don’t have that kind of cash-flow.
