I have this one station I like to listen to that plays a variety of stuff from local artists and the like. Very few ads too, though they occasionally go into “soliciting for memberships” mode now and then.
I understand that not everyone is fortunate to have money saved to be able to have the leeway to leave jobs whenever they feel like it and so forth. But I just feel like people have lost their sense of self-respect when it comes down to employment....
I think there’s a middle ground here. You should be able to put up with shit occasionally. Sometimes tensions will be high for one reason or another and things might get snippy, no reason to quit over that. But if you’re having to do it every day because your boss is just an asshole, then yeah you should be looking for a new job.
I installed the official Reddit app and went on it to see what the old place was looking like now. My inbox was filled with spam. The “home feed” shows subs I never subscribed to. There are so many ads. Between the ads and the the extra subs in the feed, it’s hard to just scroll. I also noted a lot of spam in some of the...
Personally I still use Reddit for niche things (like arguing with people about whatever video game I’m playing at the time) But fediverse here for generic scrolling
Finished the campaign duo with a buddy. Didn’t experience any particularly bad bugs. Had a couple times where shit didn’t load right for me but closing and reopening would fix so eh.
Kind of felt like a couple plots didn’t flow right going into act 3 but nothing that bad. Act 3 did feel overall a little rushed and unfinished but was still damn good. Some act 3 highlights: House of hope, underwater part, final boss battle (if you don’t count the gauntlet, that part sucked huge balls)
I said that after looking at his comment history and seeing a ton of right wing talking points being tossed out on other instances. Sure didn’t seem like he wanted less politics to me!
The Biden administration plans to urge all Americans to get a booster shot for the coronavirus this autumn to counter a new wave of infections, a White House official said on Sunday....
It’s a slightly harder sell because the vaccine didn’t kill me nor did I expect it to, but it definitely did knock me on my ass with some flu like side effects for a day or two.
Some public health experts hope that Americans will welcome the new shot as they would a flu jab. But demand for the vaccine has dropped sharply since 2021 when it first became available and more than 240 million people in the U.S., or 73% of the population, received at least one shot....
It was good at release but it’s gone down the shitter hard recently.
The main thing is that they announced and charged people for Overwatch 2 which was supposed to have a whole new PvE mode and shit. But then PvE was cancelled. But then brought back on a shittier form as additional paid DLC.
Then we have the fact that Overwatch 2 made it harder to get skins by playing.
THEN they added new characters BUT you can only get the new characters by finishing the battle pass. To quote, “New heroes will debut for everyone in Overwatch 2 at Tier 55 on the free track of the Battle Pass. They’ll unlock immediately on the premium Battle Pass track.”
So they made the game shittier to try and extract more money from players
Even then, it still doesn’t make sense to push so hard for restricting abortion. The extreme righters will vote Republican regardless, and they run the risk of alienating the center/undecided voters. The vote margins when they win were already super thin as it was…
Ohio voters on Tuesday resoundingly rejected a Republican-backed measure that would have made it more difficult to change the state’s constitution, setting up a fall campaign that will become the nation’s latest referendum on abortion rights since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned nationwide protections last year.
The reason people focus on the abortion angle is because there is a vote to enshrine abortion rights in the constitution in November. This bill would apply to that vote. It would also make it harder to try again and harder to have grassroots initiatives in general.
I wonder why changing the constitution is suddenly an issue the Ohio GOP wants to vote on…

I try to milk my phones as long as possible. But that’s mostly because I’m lazy and moving all the 2FA and getting things set up how I like and whatnot is a ball ache.
With the initial blackout, there was at least some vague hope they would listen. But then we got to July 1st with them quadrupling down and here we are.
