Why do people hate on mobile games, call them "not real games" and mock them, when some mobile-exclusive games are the best games I've played?

The Infinity Blade or Minigore series, for example, or anything made by Illusion Labs. These games are genius and most consoles don’t even have a touch screen or utilise it well like some smartphone games do....

Multiple things:

  • A lot of mobile games include ridiculous micro transactions
  • a lot are copy paste concepts or are missing game depth and complexity (comparable with Minesweeper or Solitaire)
  • the standard input device (touch) is not great for traditional games developed for physical button games

There are definitely exceptions to the problems, but I haven’t found a mobile game yet that catches me for 100h.

I started with only WvW and PvP dailies. Got annoyed by “Defend X Y-times” and unchecked WvW since. I never even bothered with PvE, since PvP is so easy to complete. It’s basically 1-2 matchws for dailies (mostly one) and about 10 per week.

Ich sehe jetzt noch nicht ganz wo die CO2 Einsparungen herkommen. Es wird dadurch unattraktiver auf dem Land zu wohnen und in der Stadt zu arbeiten. Dadurch erscheint aber auch nicht magisch bezahlbarer Wohnraum in Arbeitsnähe.

Wo die finanziellen Einsparungen herkommen ist klar. Das betrifft dann aber auch Leute die weitestgehend umweltfreundlich ihren Arbeitsweg zurücklegen. Leute die den Weg mit einem Dienstwagen zurücklegen dürfte der Wegfall der Pendlerpauschale wenig stören, da ihr Arbeitsweg ja andersweitig subventioniert wird.

Your focusshould be on something that catches his interest. Depending on the child I’d say choose stuff that is easily to learn but has some depth too it. If you want to invest some time do some projects with him, to give easy goals to achieve and continue. Be the rabbit hole.

Glad that yours is holding up so long. I bought a R2 around that time and keep the chassis barely 2 years. Some designer thought it was a great idea to put a single vent GPU 1cm above the HDD, resulting in regular overheating of the GPU. I extracted all the components and moved them to a new chassis. It died 4 years ago.

I try to eat as few highly processed food as possible. Nearly all industrial meals and convenience products are packed with artificial substances to improve taste and especially optimize production cost. Most prominent water in combination with something to adjust viscosity.

Full meal replacements are the pinnacle of high processed foods IMO. You take “everything that a human needs” mix it with water and stuff it with aroma.

I got some problems with this approach:

  • I’m not confident that there is really everything I need in it
  • Extracting nutrition from food usually takes time, drinks are easy to process and probably release nutrition much fast (needs confirmation)
  • Eating is not only about getting nutrition, chewing also triggers effects on your body
  • Eating only artificial stuff destroys your taste, a lot of people are so used to highly processed stuff that they can’t even appreciate the taste of high quality food
  • Take a break for eating, you can socialise with your family or coworkers and give your body time to regenerate

Ich schalte den Herd nach dem Aufkochen einfach aus. Den Deckel nicht vergessen. Ich habe nie das Konzept von Beutelreis verstanden. Wenn ich das bei Freunden benutzen soll mache ich die immer vorher auf und koche nach deinem Schema.

Die ersten drei Schritte aus Herd kannst du durch den ersten Schritt aus Vs: ersetzen. Das Wasser muss nicht kochen bevor der Reis rein kommt.

Ich persönlich benutze einen normalen Kochtopf. Als erstes Setze ich den Reis auf, dann bereite ich den Rest zu (trockenen Reis brauche ich jetzt nicht). Selbst bei dem simpelsten Gericht kocht der Reis bevor ich mit dem Rest fertig bin. Deswegen ist ein Reiskocher aus meiner Sicht Platz- und Geldverschwendung. Wenn du den trotzdem gerne benutz natürlich auch in Ordnung.

The word percent is exactly that per cent, which basically means parts of hundred. E.g. 10% are 10 of 100, or 60% are 60 of 100. You can also write this mathematically as 60/100 or 60÷100, which is 0.6.

Now in general: x% are x parts of 100 or x/100 or x÷100. If you want to calculate x% of y you just multiply it: y × x% = y × x ÷ 100.

Von 5€ für einen Döner kann man mittlerweile doch nur träumen. Bei uns bekommst du dafür mit etwas Glück einen kleinen Döner, von dem du zwei Essen musst um satt zu werden.

Zugegeben: Vor 10 Jahren gab es in einem bekannten Käseblatt den “Großen Dönerreport”, der empfahl keinen Döner unter 1,8€ zu essen. Bei uns hat er da “schon” 3,5€ gekostet.

Auch das alkoholfreie muss irgendwann wieder raus. Üblicherweise über einen gesünderen weg. Bei Festivals gibt es da ja schon “Konzepte” wie Grünflächen “gedüngt” werden können.
