Ah, yes it’s very easy to rent rooms at the EP to do such events. And often it’s lobby organizations who do so, and will try to get MEPs to attend.

That’s definitely a point of concern, especially as normal citizens will see videos from an event at the EP and of course think “this is an official event hosted by the Parliament”.

Yes, it’ll take a bit longer until the current opposition is in power, but it will happen eventually.

For example Austria’s president Viktor Klima in 1999 gave the election winner SPÖ the first Chance to form a government, but after weeks (I think even months) of negotiations they failed and the running-up party had a majority ready.

I don’t visit ani.social, a quick glimpse just now shows me a few Images that seem like borderline, but not straight-up “drawn sexualized child characters”. No idea how they usually are.

But from following the story, it seems pretty typical that even the lemmy.ml admins - who develop Lemmy as a whole - would do a defederation without a public transparent process or even a notification to the deferated instance. That’s straight up unpolite.

Off-topic: In Österreich haben Kindergärten, Schulen und Horte übrigens in der Regel keine Namenspatronen. Für mich ist dieses ganze “Ludwig Erhard-Gymnasium” etc. etwas befremdlich, es wirkt wie ein Personenkult, der da um die Patronen herum aufgebaut wird.

On-topic: die Erzieherinnen werden genervt sein davon, dass sie mit irgendwelchen Eltern diskutieren müssen, nehm ich an. Inhaltliche Beschäftigung wäre trotzdem gut, nicht einfach umbenennen.
