That was what gave me the final push to switch from Windows to GNU/Linux

Plain text files, all files sorted like 01S-C1 which means number 01 of a solution on C1 normally the last part means something like idk Linux? For example I solved a problem in my computer for the fifth time so I write 05S-L1.txt

Thanks to the damn notifications now I HATE modern phones, I have uninstalled nearly every app from my phone, deleted mail accounts and set some tools to make my phone a normal phone again, nowdays smartphones are just a source of annoying ads. I installed an app (I think the name is minimalist phone) and it has a function to create a “box” for low priority notifications.

like 60% of time, sometimes because I think ‘Maybe I’m wrong’ sometimes because I think ‘If I start an argument I’ll have to reply or else It’s gonna be a lame start by me’, so If I reply I must reply, and I’m lazy so I end up thinking I better keep my word to myself.

I have been using it a lot lately, I did not know about that thanks to Firefox + Ublock

Garuda was my first distro too, after it I switched to Endeavouros, I think that endeavouros or arch fill those requirements.

Everytime US users call their country ‘America’ it sounds weird. America is a continent, not a country.

I’m glad I stopped using chrome / chromium a long time ago.

firefox based browsers, ublock, and I avoid using google accounts.

I just use one browser actually, Floorp. What I like about it it’s the ‘Profiles’ feature, before Floorp I used Firefox, Librewolf, etc.

With Floorp I can just create another profile that it’s like another browser. It’s probably the best Firefox based browser but it’s not very known.

Cyo,
@Cyo@lemmy.world avatar

I could not find it on Firefox without the: “about:profiles” that you mentioned, probably it’s not easy to find, it’s the first time I see it on Firefox. In Floorp is: Settings -> Profiles -> -Create, switch, config…

That’s not the case on South America, our countries may not be the best, sometimes governments try to improve a few things and fail, but the good thing is, no one cares about piracy, so at least here governments are not even fighting piracy it seems

Searching for a 'library manager' that looks awesome.

As the title says. I have been searching for something like Kodi but more focused on an offline library manager for all the media I have. I can just navigate with the file explorer through my folders but it just looks not that pretty. Is there anything like a library manager to display my videos/music in a similar way of big...

What would the average skin tone and facial features look like after 300 years?

What would the average skin tone and facial features look like after 300 years if every partner relationship was interracial until there were no other ethnicities? Just a hodgepodge of DNA. What would the average human look like having a little bit of everything in them?...

Idk, but I’m sure that in at least 200 years genetical modifications will be accessible if everything goes fine. Probably it will apply to skin tone and facial features and there could be a strange variety of new colors or most people would pick whatever is considered ‘the best looking’ features in 300 years.
tbh the idea of having the choice of changing genetics sounds good, but it’s impossible to know what will happen in 300 years.
At least that is what I think possible in the next 300 years.

That’s why I like old offline games like Skyrim, the only updates I get are mods and when I want. Or I can just turn updates off.

I love Linux, I hate Windows, I installed Linux, but there was one thing proton could not hanlde, all my visual novels. I’ll completely switch to linux when it supports visual novels or Virtual Machines with a smooth performance (or when I finish reading all the visual novels) Damn, I’m trapped on Windows 10 until that day.

YSK: Simplewall is a free tool to have more control over your internet on your desktop. (For Windows)

I found about this a few months ago, it’s a free tool that makes the task of managing the internet access of programs a easy one. For example, you can select exactly which process can access the internet manually, of course blocking some system things on windows will disable the connection totally until reactivated....
