TBH good sounding IEM/Headphones actually worth keeping for years today are almost all modular. IEM/Headphones worthy of playing from a jack will not sound great from a trash built-in one and will need extra AMP/DAC anyway.
Funnily enough, the best AMP/DACs you can get today all use bluetooth. They are even good after the battery dies since they are also wired DAC/AMPs. There are some where a battery change is also likely. IEMs have TWS converters as well.
It is all pretty convenient without a builtin jack, unless you are really running dry on cash and/or dont even care about the most important part which is audio quality.

You might be lacking basic understanding of tribal politics and economics then. In a tribal setting you have to neutralise the other tribe, as you do not have a standing army. Any conflict you get into, you are “conscripting” your entire male population.

Yes it is worth it. I made a setup with an e5 v3 CPU a few months back. The CPU was without a doubt the biggest bottleneck in my system even if it is an 8 core one. It might still be okay as long as multitasking is key, but it TANKS per-core performance.
Battlefield V ran atrosciously with around half the FPS until I turned off mitigations.
If you have an older system, there is no doubt its worth it. It could be the difference between usable and trash.

Hello! I have been trying to find a more modern phone with a headphone jack that functions on Verizon in the US. I’m still rocking the Samsung Note 8 and while it’s been a good phone, it’s REALLY showing its age lately and I’m trying to upgrade....
Dongles are actually not a compromise, but an upgrade in case you dont get a noname shitty one. You wont get a good builtin DAC for your 3.5mm port unless you buy a pretty expensive phone. Even then the quality is just “good enough” and not increasing linearly with the price.
A dongle does not need to be expensive for casual listening, and is by far the cheapest option for audiophiles as well. Alternatively you can use a bluetooth dac amp. Even more alternatively, you can buy a TWS adapter (forexample Fiio utws series) and an actually good IEM. You can buy both for the money you spare by not spending extra on some Sony and you will have a better audio experience.
I suggest buying Volla/Gigaset (has jack btw) and Fairphone since they are far more serviceable than any other devices. Fairphone will just send you a spare USB-C if you want.

Moderators there are also incentivised to be greedy fucks. Hungarian community on /r/hungary never got on the next level because the mods do not want to fucking give up control to specialized subreddits. It is a valuable turf that has access to hundreds of thousands of citizens in a single place.
On lemmy you dont want to use a crappy client that does not give you a proper set of options among all instances.
Because words are used on basis of usefulness. Non-useful meanings die out. This community is primarily a platform and only vaguely centered around Linux.
Neither is the BSD community closer to playstation users.
My zenfone 8 is solid, but has high treble when listening on max on my headphone and Planar IEM. I would not necesserily recommend builtin jacks. If you can choose a lot cheaper device for lack of a jack, you can get a fucking great bluetooth adapter and a very good IEM from the difference.
Apart from that, I recommend Gigaset/Volla and Fairphone since they are servicable and have removable batteries.
