How bandwidth is allocated between uploading peers?

I wonder how upload is allocated between peers in a private tracker. I noticed that I systematically upload much less than most of the other seeding peers (according to the stats available for a given torrent in the private tracker), even if I am among the first to get a torrent. If OP actively hunts torrents and may be there before a majority is starting the nore manual and longer waiting method he may be behind autobrr users but before mainstream.

Also noticed that my literal seedbox in some trackers gets morr attention than others with similar seeders per torrent.

VPNs != VPNs

Kommerzielle heimische VPNs kann man sehr wohl verbieten (kann, nicht muss/soll!)

Firmen VPNs werden davon ziemlich sicherlich unberührt bleiben.

Not always does Crystal disk completely shine through the disk.
Had a sandisk 512GB SSD which was completely fine.
One day it suddenly became very slow with read and write performance. It was in the <20mb/s range amd painful to recover data from.
CrystalDisk said everything is fine. Health = Good.

Regarding the write cycles: If they ar used up the cells should enter a read only mode so that you should be able to recover the data from. Bad time if it’s the OS though.

Just saying so other less technical users don’t take the statement as a one stop tool and don’t act on it.

@User with an issue: If the SSD behaves abnormaly than usual, back it up asap and replace it.

Need help with a backup solution

Previously using 2 synology devices - one at my home location for NAS duties and another at a remote location for an off-site backup destination. I had a small army of nucs doing various hosting things. This worked well. But as many who self host can appreciate - just because it works doesn’t mean you can’t burn it all down...

Personally I’d gravitate to a Veeam solution (which I use professionally at work) for anything Windows and Linux based.
Can also do copy jobs to offsite repos.

Driving on occassion on the A8 near Stuttgart and can’t confirm it.
Usually trucks are clogging the most right line and overtaking each on the 2nd lane.
Most PKWs drive on the 2nd/3rd lane while the racers and overtakers use the 3rd/4th lane.
Also who cares about overtaking from the right. If you drive 120kph and my lane all drive 130 kph I will naturally overtake you. No need to switch lanes if the lane is free. Just don’t overtake at +30 kph but more at 10 kph in relation to base Autobahn speed.

Too sad that there is not the Office suite for Linux because it’s really powerful
(I do use Open and LibreOffice at work. Personally they are mostly worse in comparison.)

Besides that I don’t have a high dependance except for games. And looking at my SteamDeck it’s not a high dependency.
If Steam can solve the anticheat and maybe even releases SteamOS as a desktop distro it would be very tempting to switch if I can’t get anything else than a subscription or a free key.

It’s very subjective topic but I (personally) think the ribbon menu is way better for usability and can be more easily customized if you don’t need some specific tool.

Persönliche Erfahrungen:
Raspi schön und gut ist aber ARM-Plattform.
Außerdem darauf achten, dass du eine 64-Bit OS nimmst, weil armhf wenig entwickelt wird (siehe linuxserver.io)

Persönlich hab ich mich für ein IntelNuc entschieden.

x86 ist für die meisten Projekte eher von Vorteil da auch für diese Plattform mehr entwickelt wird. ARM ist nach Erfahrung eher Ziel von Mobilgeräten oder gezielter Entwicklung.

Aber es gibt auch richtig coole ARM Projekte die x86 bestimmt nicht bekommt.

I am one of the last to defend Microsoft but I just tried it with Firefox 118.0.1 64-Bit on Win11 22H2 22621.2134 with uBlock Origin enabled.

Loaded a good few times but it loaded and can chat.
Seems more like a you problem!

Personally I tried Android Auto it with a company car (nothing fancy).

Couldn’t care less. Give me bluetooth and a USB port to plugin my smartphone and I will bring my phone holder.
No need for stuff that will get outdated and needs dealer updates (if they are even supplied).

I don’t know anything about the software but there surely is some implementation on both sides as I don’t believe it’s just a pretty chromecast/apple version of that interface streamed from the phone.

And assuming you keep a car for >5 years and the strides tech does at any point (just look back on phones 10 years ago) and Google/Apple developing the platform further and abandoning older models I don’t see a very bright future.

Assuming I am wrong, I am happy to be corrected.

If that is so, that’s really cool.

But other users said it already and I agree: Not everythibg needs to be smart.
Really had attentiom issues with this whole infotainment system while driving.
So I’d agree: Less is better. More knobs amd keys instead of a large pane of touchscreen. Also the whole infosec about cars is probably still only surface level. Who knows what outdated piece of tech lingers in the depths.

I work in IT and sure do need more time to implement similar stuff at home with similar and limited toys but I can do it.

My suggestion (if you can): Do some days with and some without.

My medication since I am 12 is ritalin 30mg on 60kg body weight (increased from 20mg).

Interesting topic though. Wasnt on my radar at all nor was I “warned”/informed.

If it’s digital and not accessible offline, on your own device… and can’t be played anywhere without the accompanying software (music streaming and youtube for example) … you can lose it on a company’s whim.
