can you identify the plants for sale at this farmers' market in the puna district of hawai'i island?

hint: they are all food plants.

(bonus pic of the 'free seeds' box because plants are all about abundance, amirite? ^-^)

Watching the conference from Green Software Foundation.

It looked promising when I registered but unfortunately, I came to the conclusion that it should really be called Greenwashing Software... 😞

If you want to help, join an advocacy group, go to your city council meeting, join your , go read about , start a in your front yard! Learn to your clothes and appliances instead of buying new ones.

You don't have the time or mental energy to do that? Of course you don't! We all work too much! That's the world we live in. So quit your job! Find a better job!

So this came up in one of my pots. My app says it's a corn marigold. Do you agree? Although not originally a native plant, it's arrival in the UK is suspected to be via the ancient grain trade. I quite like it - actually lifted it from the pot & planted it in the garden - so will probably save the seeds, if it pollinates. There was a great bumble bee nosing around it, so hopefully, hopefully. #garden @gardening

Inspired by a true story, The Promise is a very emotional and heartwarming read reminding readers how friendship is a gift, and how ethnicities or religions aren’t important when it comes to it. The art is colorful, soft, and gorgeous.

: and (also rain!) for a lot of leaves on the ground, but still colour to be found, especially in the understory and some plants /trees that turn later than others.
Top left Prunus- a plum variety growing well in the last few years-- after its pollinating mate died 🙄 Centre Ontario native Aralia racemosa ripened some berries, though the plants have mostly frozen down, now.

Frost advisory tonight, so this might be the last of the veggies.

Also picked a couple clusters from the shrub rose in case this finishes it for the year. (very thorny!)

This gorgeous scene might be mistaken as part of Livia’s garden fresco but this is a later example. This fresco comes from the House of the Golden Bracelet at Pompeii. The idea of garden decorations such as pillars, masks, and frescoes with frescoes is at play.

Yep, definitely that time of the year! A lot of this is going to be given away. It is far too much for a 2 person household. 😁. These are the tomatoes that are left after using 5 pounds to make a batch of sauce.

A box of tomatoes.
Several different types and colors of peppers.
Two metal bowls of cherry tomatoes. Several different varieties.

@plants @nature I would have had my for 26 done yesterday, but the laptop needed another reset, and haven't yet been able to re-install PhotoscapeX! Photos were already edited and I was able to use the old version Photoscape this morning to put them together, less fancy borders, but that's okay! details in replies

My shows that we are heading towards Autumn here in zone 5. The large sedums are just starting to bloom and the Solomon's Seal and Solomon's Plume have berries. The "Plume" berries aren't totally ripe yet.

I only have names for 2 of the sedums. The lower right corner is Mr. Goodbud (still in its pot and waiting to be planted) and just above it is Back In Black.

This started as 3 plug size plants this spring. It's clearly something we are going to have to keep watching so that it doesn't take over. It is just starting to come into bloom. The flowers are just starting and should be more impressive soon.

We don't really have a worth mentioning, but we have a little nook where some random stuff grows. I went to get some tomatoes earlier today and saw a bunch of hanging out on the Jerusalem artichokes. Happy to see that. 🙂 @gardening
