It’s supposed to drive anti Israeli sentiments. People that justified the actions by saying it’s against their enemies don’t have a leg to stand on now that they’re attacking christians.
I remember a piece I read in about 2003, writer for new Yorker or Slate or something was home for the holidays with her Japanese-American family. Her family, around the Christmas table was talking about the post 9-11 world, was saying the US should have tighter security and more restrictions on “Muslims” in the US, though admitting the vast majority of them were the same as other citizens.
The writer was horrified that her family–who had a grandfather in Manzanar at the table–was so ready to trod down the same road only a few decades later despite their firsthand experience in the US after Pearl harbor.
If those folks are so easily manipulated by propaganda, what hope does an average person have?
He wasn’t murdered he was framed in a murder suicide theirs a difference. One tries to make the victim look like they died of suicide while he was murdered the other is just plain murder.

As if this wasn’t ridiculous enough, it gets better
“Immediately the battalion commander issues a ceasefire order, but again there’s another burst of fire towards the third figure and he also dies,” the official said. “This was against our rules of engagement,” he added.
So, to summarize: unarmed civilians waving a white flag were categorized as terrorists and two of them get executed immediately. The battalion commander then directly orders the soldiers to stop firing but those orders are being disobeyed and the last of the group is executed anyway.
That is not feeling “threatened”. That is bloodlust.

All I can say is, I'm glad Jeff Epstein is dead and some of those who helped promulgate his sickness are in jail also. Far too many men get away with the abuse of women in this society. These men are all mentally ill, and they all need to be jailed for the remainder of their lifetimes.
I apologize, because this kind of sounds like a “not all men” comment, but I promise it’s not meant to be. Unfortunately abuse is not just limited to being perpetrated by men, if I recall correctly Epstein famously had a female accomplice, who was apprehended and is serving time. Anyone perpetuating abuse is despicable and deserves our hate. I guess that goes without saying, however your use of “men” just stuck out in my mind and I wanted to make sure Ghislaine Maxwell and her ilk also get an equal amount of outrage directed at them.
I don’t know if I’d call 20 years a slap on the wrist, it is a significant chunk of time, but it is no where near enough for the shit they did. When I went to Wikipedia to double check my info and saw that was the sentence I was appalled that was all she got. They do all deserve a life sentence for what they did.
Yeah this is one of the rare cases where it’s absolutely fair to point out because it was an entire network with people from both genders participating or complicit in some way! We aren’t discussing statistics, women were involved in these atrocities so it really would make more sense to be inclusive of all the abusers
Yes he did have a female accomplice who I'm happy to say also went to jail. But how often do you hear of women abusing men? I know it goes on, and one problem with any kind of abuse is under reporting by people who are embarrassed and ashamed.
Still from what I've read the greater number of perpetrators is men, just look at all those they just busted for sending solicitations to young girls for sex (I think it was group of 10 or 20 men). None of them gay - all of them straight men with girlfriends or married.
That's who my scorn is heaped upon and always will be. The ones who really commit such atrocities with no concern for the victims.

They’re US allies. They’ve been receiving that aid long before the hamas broke the ceasefire by attacking an EDM festival and killing a thousand civilians. The conflict over there is a terrible situation, but fucking up people’s commutes 7500 miles away from the conflict zone accomplishes nothing except for ruining those people’s days, and possibly causing them massive hardship.
Failure or not depends on the goals. And by that it probably failed as they were aiming for retaking Crimea or at least split it in half. Also a lot of ground taken during counteroffensive is now lost again due to Russian offensive. Sadly so.
