In a way this is the same as money to them, just a new generation concept of money. Where older generations use money to buy physical items, they use simulated ingame currency to buy digital items.
It reminds me of the first Deus Ex game for some reason, the character model, the presenter’s tone and style. Im not saying I love it, but it’s interesting nevertheless.
I personally like all news to get more screen real estate as I watch videos a lot from a mobile device but that’s just personal preference.
Definitely play with the idea a bit more and maybe you will get some great results!
I am planning to toy with the results a bit. Oldschool graphics in modern rendering look a bit creepy to younger audience (dead eyes and such); I have already experimented with another, more cartoonish, model I plan to check.
