The character art and animation look quite nice, but the environments lack the same aesthetic in places, and the greys kind of blend in with one another. I almost wonder if you could put outlines on the object edges without it getting distracting?
I love the concept but that gameplay looks hella repetitive. Combined with a black and white art style that could get tiring, I’m worried about longevity.
Considering they have - or at least claim to have - already updated their prehistoric engine, there’s only third-party ledt because I certainly wouldn’t trust those hacks to build one from the ground up.
Completely agree on Howard, by the way. To me, he’s another Molyneux except I’ve been able to at least finish games from Molyneux.
Yet to me, G4 represents the downfall of TechTV and when everything became pretty bad.
The Screen Savers, Call for Help, X-Play… then G4 merged with TechTV and everything went downhill.
TechTV was the sole reason why I had satellite TV. When G4 turned it into a full gaming channel instead of a tech one, I just cancelled my subscription.
It works most of the time, and they sort of addressed the main complaint I saw, which was with the infamy system. Definitely still has some major problems, but a lot of the hate is pretty overblown.
I haven’t been following along the whole time but they wouldn’t even mention the issues forcing always online brought at launch. People quit playing so the servers caught up, but they still won’t add offline. Apparently they have absolutely no interest in the steam deck demographic.
Bwahahahaha, the gall to charge $18 for a DLC before fixing their broken game that people are already abandoning. Surely this will make the playerbase stick around.
You know, when it launched I figured “sure, it’s a clusterfuck, but we’ve seen worse games make a comeback”, but I’m now beginning to think it might actually die
But what do they interpret that as? I want this. But mostly as an HD Remaster. If they were going to rebuild it they’d change things and it really doesn’t need that.
I mean…I just play the old one with the HD texture pack. 10000% better than anything they’ll try to pump out, guaranteed. Also, kotor 1 is free right now if you have Prime.
We’re remastering the old republic franchise. We’ve made some minor tweaks. Mostly swapping out Revan for Kylo Ren so we can keep selling the same toys and other totally minor changes. Also, it’s an auto clicker game, too…
