With any AV product how “good” it is to you is ultimately subjective, but the fact that crinical was objectively pointing out differences in the same model of IEMs along with Ball’s refusal to show their graphs makes it quite obvious that Campfire had some serious QC issues that they were hiding. Talk about laying it bare.
A couple of Campfire Audio’s flagship products turned out to be very inconsistent. A well-known reviewer/measurer (Crinacle) proved this publically.
The CEO of the company likely knew they were bad as he refused to give out measurements and very poorly attempted damage control, despite the company freely giving out measurements previously.
It’s a story about a company likely skimping out out QC, pretending it’s not a problem, and paying the price with their reputation.
I'm glad I stayed off r/headphones because that would have been dangerous for my wallet lol. I already hate that I spent $500 on my B&W headphones, but damn do I love them.
That was a long in-depth bringing me up to speed, and I loved it hahaha - thanks for taking the time to write all that up
