How would I get a relative point between a min and max value that could be represented as a float between 0.0 and 1.0?

I have a min and max position of an object and I want to represent an arbitrary point between them as a float between 0.0 and 1.0. This feels relatively basic math, but I can’t quite figure out what I need to do with this. Is there a special name for this sort of thing? Panels keep increasing in size every time I run a scene (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I had this issue back in Godot 3.5 and hoped that it’d be gone, but Panels and some other Control Nodes still resize magically when executing another scene.
