Hi everybody! I just finished preparing a batch of Kimchi! I based my recipe off a mix of Maangchi and a recipe I got from Mother’s Kimchi. I am going to leave it out on the counter for a day or two and then stick it in the fridge to slowly fermented for 2 weeks at least....
Working on perfecting the classics...or making it perfect to me at least....

Finger limes are an unusual fruit that has caviar-like flesh and pops in your mouth. They come in all kinds of interior colors, and sound amazing. I've been trying to find some in California, but they're native to Australia and I haven't seen any even in specialty stores. Does anyone know where I might find them here?

Second try at making limoncello; the peels were infused for 8 weeks in a locally distilled 45% gin. Used a coffee filter to filter out any impurities, and I think I trapped too much of the oils… leading to a crystal-clear liqueur, rather than the cloudy-neon-yellow I was going for. Oh well. Next time I’ll get actual...
Didn’t all go as planned, but pretty tasty nonetheless.
I just deep-fried and filled a batch of the thing above. They turned out delicious, so I’m sharing here....
So my wife is a vegetarian, and as a wise man once said >that pretty much makes me a vegetarian too>...
