Hi all! I’m looking for a service where I can port my phone number, and then make and receive phone calls and SMS, all over data, not cell service. My particular use case is that I live in Germany, but I still have a US phone number, and occasionally need to receive SMSes or phone calls on that number....

is there a program that will allow me to do this without having to sign into my google account? like sendanywhere but for bluetooth?

On my chromecast i have Google and Google Assistant disabled. I also have Projectivy launcher. I want to know how to degoogle it further, i am too scared to disable google play services because i don’t have aurora store here. I also replaced Gboard with a open source alternative. Any ideas?

I have a us Samsung phone so I an unable to root and replace GMS with micro g. Would it he possible to patch apps (with lspatch for example) to use another app for push notifications? Firebase notifications are the only reason I have GMS at all still.

If I only wanted to degoogle and disable other manufacturer’s bloatware from my Android device, is using adb to “uninstall” the system apps from user 0 pretty much as effective as rooting and using something like debloat terminal while rooted or are there bypasses that make rooting the better option?
