Das ist irgendwie meine Hoffnung. Die EU könnte da eigentlich ein Vorreiter und Vorbild sein. Reicht ja schon das Deutschland mit dem Perso immer krasser abgleitet.
Die EU hat leider gezeigt dass sie in Sachen Privatsphäre gegenüber Staaten nicht vertrauenswürdig ist. Selbst wenn sie jetzt sagen, dass sie so etwas in privacy first Ansatz umsetzen wollten, würde ich dem nicht vertrauen. :/
Jetzt kommt halt Plab B: Jahrelang wurde es mit abwarten und hoffen, dass beim nächsten Versuch ein paar Jahre später der Widerstand nicht so groß ist, versucht. Das hat nicht funktioniert, also wird jetzt auf Ermüdung gesetzt.

While it is no good news, it is a little comforting that there is hard evidence that this legislation is backed by money and dirty corporate interests in unlimited mandatory mass surveillance, instead of it actually being evaluated as a solution.
However the article is almost a month old. Did anything happen regarding this? Is Ylva Johansson still in it’s place, and if so, why? They should be in prison, not in any place where they would do harm to the EU.

I want cameras and microphones in every politicians house, in every room. These record 24/7 and will be live-streamed on twitch. Any politician against this proposal is obviously a child-abusing terrorist, or do they have something even worse to hide?
Terrorists will have no problem writing their own encryption program, and more ordinary citizens will install malicious apps from unofficial app stores.
Naive. There must be more practical methods to counter child abuse. For example always holding people accountable when they are known to hurt children would be a good start.
Oh I’m sure pedos are just sending CSAMs via Whatsapp willy-nilly. Not using already very much accessible numerous e2e encrypted methods that can be self-hosted and harder to find/track. We can definitely catch them for sure if this comes to be a thing!

Okay, schlecht. Ohne jetzt die Quellen geprüft zu haben, passt jetzt in meinem Weltnarrativ, hätte ich genau so erwartet.
Jetzt ist aber die Frage, was nun? Das steht jetzt hier auf der Privatseite von Herrn Breyer wenn ich das richtig sehe, nicht bei Zeit, Stern, Spiegel oder wo auch sonst. Keine Schlagzeile bei Bild (als ob!) á la “SO versuchen ausländische Techeliten unsere Freiheit zu stehlen!”. Wie immer bei diffusen Netzthemen sehe ich keinen Winkel wie ich das Achim oder meiner leicht rechten Oma verticken soll das das eher schlecht ist. Auf “Ehre und Anstand” setzt halt auch keiner Wert und so eine kleine Korruptionsgeschichte unter Freunden ist dann gefühlt Usus.
Was kann ich als Einzelperson da tun? Nach Brüssel fahren und die gute Frau Johansson mit frischen Tomaten bewerfen? Die ist wahrscheinlich eh nie da und selbst wenn ist es ihr egal weil die Security für so etwas Schirme bei hat. Wenn ich das jetzt in die Freundes-Whatsapp Gruppe schicke wird das exakt niemand lesen oder genauso da stehen wie ich. Wenn ich das meiner Verwandtschaft erzähle verstehen sie nicht mal die Prämisse oder aber das Thema schlägt ganz schnell auf “die Grünen!” um. Je nachdem.
Ich fühle mich hier verdammt machtlos. Insbesondere wenn die Verursacher ein Techkonzern aus Übersee sind die absolut anonym und gesichtslos für mich sind. Und selbst wenn, die GEMA Zentrale steht auch noch und die wäre sogar hier im Land.
