Crowned, hopeless, the article read: living wasteland. This time, you’ve tried, all that you can, turning you red, (but) I, will not, hide you through this, I want you to help
For what researchers say is an array of reasons — including technology, heavy academic schedules and an overall slower-motion process of growing up — millennials and now Gen Zers are having less sex, with fewer partners, than their parents’ and grandparents’ generations did. Mayne said generation is deciding that spending every waking moment trying to get 8 minutes of pleasure is a bad investment and life is about a lot more.
Or maybe they’re all just chronically depressed from living in a hopeless world and don’t want their depression to spread to each other through intimacy.
Rice goes in my instapot ( the crocpot version technicaly) on low pressure and irs every bit as good as my old rice cooker, once I nailed the timing and water amount. Bonus: it’s great at a BUNCH of other types of cooking also
Between that thing and my air fryer, I rarely use the oven anymore. Even more so for the microwave.

Tried sync but honestly given that it’s an advertisement supported app, I couldn’t find a single justification to keep using it, short of the generic “spez bad sync good” base.
I switched to Jerboa, I don’t like the idea of accessing a free community via a paid/tracking app. It doesn’t make any sense to use an app that actively works against my interests, just because they did a good job making the app fast.
Jerboa seems good so far, I’m only ~9 hours into it though. It’s definitely more stable than lemmy beta was.
Also honestly I’m already tired of every fan boy (you’re out there don’t act coy) yelling about how amazing it is. My all page has waaaaay too many posts about sync, doesn’t feel organic. Was instantly not an issue when I switched to Jerboa however.
Reminds me a lot of how I had to block the “enough musk spam” because ironically they were filling my all page with TOO MUCH MUSK SPAM. Wtf

Maya is probably the best program to have known before Blender. Blender was definitely geared from day one to be switched to from Maya, 3dsMax and Lightwave (back in the day).
In other news, Autodesk is constantly accusing the company I work for of stealing licenses even though we over purchase licenses. They can go to hell.

Pretty neat. The training process takes a while for textual inversion, which I have enjoyed playing around with. I hope Automatic1111 gets support for this method of training, if it takes off!
Great question, I wondered the same thing. I’ve got a decent knowledge base where stable diffusion (text to image etc) is concerned, and understand the applications of this Nvidia process, I’m not familiar enough with customization options for LLMs. I haven’t really seen references to hypernetwork/lora/midjourney type applications in LLMs, or anything that really “plugs into” your existing model to augment results, the way stable diffusion is geared for customization. It seems in my limited understanding, that customization for LLMs requires customization of the training ing data, and a completely new training process for the actual model, not a reference model like SD.
Basically around the 2000s we had a WinXP computer and each time I wanted to use it, either my mom or my dad had to turn it on. However they had to strike the key to enter the BIOS. Everytime when booting the PC. Then they would exit the BIOS and so Windows XP would boot normally....

i can see your knowledge is as antiquated as reddit’s interface. cool. I guess you know basically nothing then.
You have to download terabytes of info to host your own AI
Really,? talk to me about LLMs please, ill wait for you to google it, thats fine.
I’ve got 7 custom AI chat bots on my normal desktop PC that beg to differ with your outdated opinions. I dont even do this professionally and i’ve got all the resources to AI bot spam if I so chose to. Which I think would be a significant waste of my time (not to mention I have no aspirations that would be furthered by this)
your deletion and reposting of this doesn’t seem to hav e changed much. you could have used the edit function instead.
If you care, you’re embarrassing yourself in front of any people who actually know whats up.
Feel free to do some homework, for starters LLM stands for Large Language Model, not Language Learning model (using gpt to look that up failed you? or you just suck at googling??)
ill just drop this here and you can either ignore it and fuck off, or you can choose to attempt burning some calories with that overactive brain of yours, and actually getting up to speed. your choice, im impartial.

i’m new to lemmy, and am using the old.lemmy.world interface, and see no options for blocking users. Ill check another instance I suppose. Thanks for the feedback
From the feedback I’ve been getting, It seems that its either buried awkwardly in settings somewhere, or the Lemmy instance I’m using (old.lemmy.world) doesn’t currently support it.

Reddit is a LOT of bots now. The bots were trained on existing bots, and trolls. Reddit will never change as a direct result of this heritage of awfulness.
Hey I just want to say most of us humans care about most other humans even if we’ve had disagreements currently or in the past. You and I certainly haven’t gotten along so far but I still care about you and hope that you feel cared about.

Now that Sync and Infinity are out, which do people prefer? Also, how do they compare to the existing lemmy apps?
I have about 5 different apps installed right now, and while I plan to test them all out, curious what people’s conclusions are thus far.
