The price tag? $75,000.

Not too bad for an old doorstop.

Yeah I actually stalked your comment history and that’s what inspired me to post this

I reported you because I disagree with you

Thank you, I was wondering about this today but couldn’t find any information on it

Pretty unlikely to find something so new that hasn’t been released as a hard copy yet, especially if it’s not too well known. I did a quick search on my usual sources for you and and couldn’t find anything

Swedish company Northvolt develops new state-of-the-art sodium-ion battery produced with locally sourced materials, entirely independent of traditional battery value chains (northvolt.com)

In a statement, Northvolt says its validated cell is more safe, cost-effective, and sustainable than conventional nickel, manganese and cobalt (NMC) or iron phosphate (LFP) chemistries and is produced with minerals such as iron and sodium that are abundant on global markets....

There’s this new company called Duracell that’s making these AA batteries which seem promising too

If they’re one-time use, how does that work with accounts that require that number to stay attached to your account and use it as two-factor authentication?

Choosing to prioritize privacy will definitely affect your online social life—especially if you’re trying to get to know real people using your real identity. Privacy-centered communities are not the ones you should be blaming, however. This is just the unfortunate state of the Internet, and privacy communities simply make us aware of that truth.

A lot of us here are trying to find ways to push back against regulations and groups of people that are violating our privacy before it gets to a place where we no longer have a choice. Going upstream is always more challenging and less convenient than going with the flow, but the hope is that it will be worth it in the long run.

If your online social life is more valuable to you than privacy, you have the total freedom to choose how you want to balance that. Just be careful of projecting your own experience on everyone else.

What should be used for anonymous usernames?

More often than not, the best way to hide is to simply blend in with the crowds – this also encompasses one’s choice for a username. It is relatively simple to make a single throwaway account – just come up with a username, and off you go – however, if one makes throwaway accounts often, the task of thinking of a unique,...

You get the exact same quality at around ~25% smaller than other image formats. Unfortunate that it’s not supported by everything, but yeah it’s a better image format practically in that sense.

On the web this saves money when storing at a large scale, and it can have a significant impact on page speed when loading websites on slower connections.

I think it highly depends on the communities you follow and the instance you joined. There are less users and less of an algorithm here, so things that might be filtered or de-prioritized on other large social media networks are all shown as-is in the All feed. I do think if we need more activity on and moderators for some more of the wholesome communities though

This also happens when I’m not high

What problem would auto-deleting communities solve? The communities aren’t doing any harm sitting there

I’ve used !ynab for a while and love it. It’s helped me get out and stay out of debt for 8 years now.

Yes, good services do tend to cost money. Been worth every penny in my experience

Also for iOS is uYou+, installed with Sideloadly. Might not be as privacy-friendly as other options though

shootwhatsmyname,
@shootwhatsmyname@lemm.ee avatar

Just wanted to mention it in case others wanted the same experience as the official app. Sideloadly and AltStore both auto-renew over WiFi, so other than the slightly involved setup it’s just like any other app. I agree with you though, GrapheneOS/Android or the other options your listed are far better in terms of privacy and security

I’m just amazed at the level of detail and complexity of the game logic. Can’t wait for graphics to be at a place where you can build your city and then walk through it in highly-realistic VR, interact with civilians, and explore

if a proposition was presented to drown a guy such as the one pictured above, in what manner might one ethically and swift-fully accomplish such a task? asking for a friend

shootwhatsmyname,

Maybe the chat option doesn’t respect filters in the settings (like hiding bot accounts or your specified language)?

For the record, I am interested in what you’re doing and you should definitely see me as a threat

not sure if i should take advice from an onion

shootwhatsmyname,

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you’re making a generic assumption based on little to no evidence other than your own experience which is likely in no way directly related to or connected to the original commenter’s life or behaviors.

If you’re simply doing cloud storage, a Raspberry Pi and SSDs will be just fine. If you’re wanting to run a bunch of processes all at once I’d recommend a Beelink or something a bit more dependable. I had Plex, HomeAssistant, AirPlay/Spotify, and NextCloud running on my rpi4 and performance was finicky. RAM was an issue and occasionally it would all crash. Raspberry Pi’s seem to do better with one or two tasks at a time in my experience. Can’t speak for the Raspberry Pi 5 though.

Nice, yeah I’ve heard good things. Also, I just came across umbrel today and thought I’d share since it’s related. Looks pretty cool but don’t know how it is privacy-wise

Not open source but Tally is a really exceptional form builder. You can build that out in no time

shootwhatsmyname,

uYou+ on iOS (installed from GitHub using Sideloadly or AltStore) is working great, even skips sponsored segments and allows background playback

shootwhatsmyname,

Hopefully most of us understand that. I think for a lot of us it’s privacy/ethical issues with Google
