Früher habe ich reddit ca 2h pro Tag genutzt. Jetzt garnicht mehr. Ich würd mir auch wünschen dass es etwas mehr content auf Lemmy geben würde, aber die Menschen hier sind einfach deutlich cooler und das macht es für mich mehr als wett.

You could make a more informed split to increase your odds. Say a weak team plays against a strong team, and official sports betting offices rate the chances 30/70. Instead of splitting the two groups 50/50 you now split them 30/70 as well.
Emails (gmail at least) can also dynamically display information. So you could just change a wrong guess to a right one after the fact.

Die ganzen Diskussionen ums Klima haben komischerweise gleichzeitig mit den Protesten der LG angefangen. FFF wurde wegignoriert und ist jetzt nicht mehr relevant. Und das obwohl deutlich mehr Leute dafür waren/mitgemacht haben.
NIEMAND der für Klimaschutz ist, wird sich wegen der LG auf einmal gegen Klimaschutz wenden. Nur Leute denen das Klima eh schon egal sind wenden sich gegen die LG.
Mein Freund ich stand dieses Jahr bestimmt schon dutzende Studen im Stau und noch nie wegen der LG, sondern wahrscheinlich immer wegen irgendeinem Dulli der an Handy war oder zu schnell gefahren ist. Standest du schonmal in einem von der LG verursachtem Stau? Oder kennst du jemanden der schonmal in einem “LG Stau” stand?
Es geht nicht nur darum Schlagzeilen zu generieren, sondern darum, Konversation um den Klimakollaps zu starten. Und genau das passiert hier ja gerade, also scheint es zu funktionieren. Vergleich doch mal mit vor einem Jahr, da hat kaum jemanden über den Klimawandel geredet.
Eben nicht… Die LG hat schon echt viele Protestmethoden ausprobiert, von dem oft vorgeschlagenem “klebt euch doch bei den Politikern Zuhause fest” bis zu Hungerstreiks. Das wird aber von den Medien und der Bevölkerung einfach ignoriert. Das Stören des Alltags funktioniert einfach am Besten, und das hat zb schon auch Martin Luther King bewiesen.
Meinst du mit Pöbel Menschen die nicht weiter als 2 Monate vorausdenken? Egal wie arm man ist, jeder der versteht wieviel Schaden der Klimakollaps anrichten wird, wird mitziehen.
Mein Freund, informier dich doch bitte etwas mehr, dann würden wir alle uns deutlich weniger Fremdschämen.
Das Pariser Abkommen verpflichtet die Erderwärmung unter 1.5 Grad zu halten. Deutschland hat das unterschrieben. Deutschland hält sich aber nicht dran. Deutschlands Politik (Fossil-fuel Subventionen zb) steuern uns auf eine Zeit zu die von Kriegen über Nahrungsmittel, von Wassermangel, von Dürren, von extremen Stürmen, von Klimaflüchtigen und vom Kollaps ganzer Ökosysteme geprägt sein wird. Und unter keinen Umständen will ich dass meine Kinder in so einer Welt aufwachsen. Deutschland gefährdet das Leben meiner (ungeborenen) Kinder. Ich finde schon dass das gegen das Gesetz verstößt.
Übrigens: Die Gerichte entscheiden tatsächlich ziemlich oft im Sinne der LG. Wahrscheinlich weil sie sich tatsächlich etwas mit den Fakten befassen anstatt sich ihre Meinung bilden zulassen.
Gerade in Deutschland haben wir keine großen Veränderungen zu erwarten.
Das stimmt halt einfach straight up nicht… Klar, das Ausmaß der Katastrophe wird nicht so groß sein wie in Ländern näher am Äquator. Aber der Schaden wird trotzdem immens sein. Schon jetzt gehört Deutschland zu den Regionen weltweit die am schnellsten austrocknen.

Your definition of communism is flawed, but I actually agree with the rest of what you’re saying. Content creators are what makes yt worthwhile, and them earning money through ads is perfectly reasonable.
YouTube has some shady practices like showing ads on videos of creators that don’t have a contract with them, meaning YouTube makes money from those creators without the creators receiving anything in return. But for the most part I think that ads on YouTube are fine.
