I’d normally agree with you lol, but I got laid off recently so I have to make due with what I have for now.

The obvious answer that escaped me for whatever reason was just to create a VirtualBox VM. I already have it installed so why not.

I run Gentoo, but do a daily update when I think of it. Usually never takes more than a minute or two. If it’s a kernel update I just reboot when I’m finished.

    Why YSK: It appears several Lemmy Instances are flagged as suspicious and at least 1 instance intentionally using the name of ransomware. A couple of the big enterprise monitoring suites (Fortiguard, ZScaler) will flag your account and may end up with you being pulled into an office for an explanation, or worse....

    I know why they think the way they do, and it’s brainwashing from being raised Christian. I was raised that way so I do understand the thought behind it, but it’s so hard to have compassion for people who never care to try to understand people who don’t believe in that. I’ll try though.
