What do you think about sources having depicted the Donetsk People’s Republic as a part of Ukraine?

Other way around, they’re basically a US satellite state if anything. Biden said it himself, “if there wasn’t an Israel we would have to invent one.”

Here’s a graph showing the countries that voted most closely in line with the US in the UN across the past couple decades:

The three dots behind Israel are former US Pacific Island territories that are currently US puppet states and officially give away much of their sovereignty to America under COFA. If you exclude those three, Israel aligns itself with America miles ahead of any other country.

When I was in middle school my brother was pissed at me so he replaced every piece of paper in all of my folders with pages of manga he ripped out of my one punch man book

My high school sex ed never taught anything gay or anal. So I knew to wear a condom with my first girlfriend, but until I was a freshman in college (a year ago…) I didn’t realize it’s important to wear one with a guy too. First gay experience, we’d been seeing each other for a month and I thought I was pretty ready, sock on the dorm door and everything, but then bro asked me if I had a condom and I was like “huh?” And obviously I didn’t so he just gave me head instead

For whatever reason I thought condoms only helped in vaginal sex, since that’s the only thing they taught its use for. Didn’t really know how gay and bi men prevent STIs other than monogamy and a few other assumptions. Part of that stupidity was probably just me being optimistic and horny brained about not having to wear anything

Gaza’s nearly 50% people under 18 actually. The 40% number is for people under 15

They want protestors to be quiet and in the distance. God forbid they inconvenience people to get their voices heard

The Telegraph is the only one reporting this, we’re supposed to believe a sensationalist conservative tabloid?

Do you still write notes with pen and paper?

With so much note taking apps nowadays, I can’t understand why does anyone still write notes with pen and paper. You need to bring the notepad, book or that paper to retrieve that information, and most of the time you don’t have it in hand. While my phone almost always reachable and you carry when you go out. For those still...

I’m a zoomer and my middle & high school had us do a large majority of stuff on a computer, so my handwriting kinda sucks now

whenever I use pen & paper now, I look at what I wrote and realize I still have the handwriting of a fucking 12 y/o. I also type a lot faster than I write

Yeah I feel like it’s mostly a cultural thing. In the past, women were discouraged (and at a certain point not allowed) from playing chess, so it’s always been a male dominated hobby

In general, women tend to be reluctant to get into male dominated interests and occupations when there isn’t a welcoming, large enough space for them (e.g. depending on gender roles and expectations, some countries have mostly male doctors, some have an equal amount of male/female doctors, and some have mostly female doctors). So there isn’t exactly a large enough pool of women who care enough to really get into chess and make achievements in it. it’s also just, kind of a boring hobby to get into imo

Ah yes, we should liberate women by restricting their freedom to wear what they want to wear smuglord the western white knight is here to let Muslim women know they don’t know what they’re doing because they’re small-minded and brainwashed

Also, weird how you bring up burqas under an article that doesn’t mention burqas. And you make it sound like only far-leftists are against a burqa ban when most liberals/moderates tend to be too.

Not that much easier, there’s 23 countries not 3 lmao

mar_k,

(some) Americans are so self-important when they mention states being the same size as other peoples’ countries lmao. "Why should we have to point to Germany on a map if Germans can’t even point to le bigger Montana? smuglord "

It’s like, do they feel the same about knowing other big countries’ internal divisions? Canadian provinces? Russian federal subjects? Brazilian states? Chinese provinces? Australian states? Cuz the average subdivision in all those countries is larger than the average US state.

And people usually know the most important ones, anyways (Cali, Texas, Florida, NY)

They’re straight up gaslighting LMAO. This is an actual, recent headline from the wsj:

dont-laughI love how some of the opening lines talks about interviewing a single Chinese person failing to run a business

One entrepreneur interviewed by The Wall Street Journal said that one of his businesses, a distributor for LED screens based in Shenzhen, is suffering from widening losses as overseas orders dry up, leading him to slash prices to compete for domestic clients. Having laid off more than 50 out of 120 staff since 2022, he said he is contemplating whether to shut the business this year.
