lseif,

unless u use the speed force

lseif,

not if u use pym particles

lseif,

yeah right. it takes a long time to mine, even with a diamond pickaxe

lseif,

ignores engineering and construction cost. but we can assume that all people involved would work for free, because its a massive honour

lseif,

i would encourage you to switch to fdroid or obtainium as soon as possible, if you are able to

lseif,

fork you

lseif,

oh no! fragmentation!

lseif,

personally, signal is a lot easier to set up for a family member who doesnt care about privacy. its just a sms replacement basically, just need a phone number (which is also a downside, of course)

lseif,

that doesnt seem harmless.

lseif,

thats besides the point

lseif,

based on ubuntu

lseif,

thats what my friend does… the windows update somehow always breaks the system, requiring a windows reinstall, so he force shutsdown

lseif,

i hate to say this but average windows user

lseif,

8 - 10 = -2

i see what u did there

lseif,

but… corporations are people too 😥

lseif,

john mcclaus

lseif,

ITS NOT ENCRYPTION ITS ENCODING D’:

lseif,

just a tip: i believe you can embed images using ![Alt text](https://image.url)

lseif,

and μ should be u maybe… why throw in a random non-latin character? is it for the sake of anti-anglocentrism?

lseif,

yeah, i get that, but many people just use u because its more accessible (ascii and qwerty compatible), similar to writing μBittorrent as uBittorrent. imo i dont think its too big of a deal if it doesnt match the word micro, since μ is already a bit of a stretch. this is just my opinion, im not advocating for a SI reform or anything :)

lseif,

ive only heard G&T pronounced jee & tee

lseif,

also car-like vehicles and skyscrapers

lseif,

what do u mean by important? like ‘essential to the system’, or ‘important to consider when choosing a distro’, or what?

lseif,

i see

lseif,

it is a dynamically linked library, meaning its not in the compiled binary, but its assumed to already be on the system. as opposed to a statically linked binary. this lowers the file size of the binaries, because most will use the standard library.

edit: this may not be 100% correct, but its the general idea

lseif,

not sure if this helps, but i believe using a separate android profile/user is the same as sandboxing, although less convenient

lseif,

regular digital for me. i dont personally find much use in the ‘smart’ features, and i dont use it to work out. not worth charging everyday.

plus smart watches are another antiprivacy device

lseif,

afiak, they dont need connection for basic features

lseif,

how do you not break it? fleepygeebers

lseif,

thats our word… but u can say klinga

lseif,

oh yeah? declare a variable.

lseif,

/^[a-zA-Z_]w*$/

i think… most languages at least

lseif,

good point. some languages (like rust) also support r# prefix to use a keyword as a variable also

lseif,

no ones running linux mint on a server, and most consumers wont run debian or whatever. the point of different distros is different target audiences.

lseif,

pokeman

lseif,

maybe normal users should just get over it, and use the command line once in a while. its really not as hard as people make it out to be, if youre just running basic commands.

lseif,

you do realize that people can learn new things. im tired of treating people as clueless ‘consumers’ who just ‘arent tech savvy’. learn the basics of how to use a computer, such as copy/paste, and know how to troubleshoot. thats all im asking.

this wouldnt be too big of a problem if it were something like switching people from ubuntu to arch, or xorg to wayland (as examples of intra-community arguments). but the alternative to linux (for consumers) is windows or mac, which are actively harmful to our society. its not just a matter of linux being easier, faster, simpler, more extensible, or anything, although it is. its about people understanding what corporations are using them for, and the common sense to recognize this.

lseif,

intuition is subjective

lseif,

lore accurate

lseif,

why write any joke? why did you write this reply?

lseif,

16 bits, on most systems

lseif,

too meta. take my downvote

lseif,

i think its more a critism of using C where it shouldnt, or by people who shouldnt use it. certainly a skill issue, but a lot of people simply will make mistakes, and better to be safe. C of course has its uses though

lseif,

use after free error (trying to walk with one leg missing)

lseif,

if languageName.contains(“Java”)

lseif,

the apostrophe may make it a bit clearer… even if technically incorrect usage
