After recently buying a used 6800xt amd’s software and included overlay are wonderful. Now another overlay that’s opensourced and can work with any GPU? That’s fricken sweet.

I’d say neutral. Since you can install gapps (e.g. Playstore, gmail) for convenience and less privacy. Or microG instead of gapps.

FYI: ProtonPass on Mac/Safari (Apple Silicon)

protonpass is available for a few weeks now and i really enjoy using it on my mobile devices and on firefox. there is no "official" app for mac and desktop safari yet (proton claims that they have to heavily rewrite the extension to make it work with safari) so i installed the ipad version on my m1 mini and it works - in a way....

Definitely considering switching to proton. It’s just the 1gb limit that seems like an issue for me. Otherwise the free tier seems fine for me I don’t email that often.

I used to on my Motorola RAZR for custom themes and the ability to double tap volume keys for track skipping or rewind. Now I have an app to to do that and some watered down system themes. Now I just don’t cause I don’t see the reason for rooting anymore. And random apps like McDonald’s have started checking for root or unlocked bootloader’s for some reason.

Sorry that this isn’t an answer but your post reminded me of zenoina (1st one) and it was a nice $1-2 mmo on Android. Sadly they just pumped out sequels and I don’t know if they are still good or terrible now.
