I’ve used it on my phone once, and had trouble trying to change my home page. Searching for it, apparently it was because of an option that was glitched. Turning it off solved it. This glitch was present for years, from what I read, and still wasn’t solved.

It had the A.I. controversy that people mentioned. So I guess it’s not very reliable in the privacy section, even if it’s their main “appeal”.

I’m using Firefox on both PC and mobile. Only experimented with Brave for a short time. Can’t say much more about it.

Younger users of Lemmy: Did you ever love a game that you just really sucked at?

So I was watching a few youtubes and remembered how the vast majority (of like the ten) nes games me and my sister had were hard as all hell. I loved to play Little Nemo and Street Fighter 2010 but I am pretty sure I never made it past the third level of either. Let alone infamously hard games like The Lion King....

Pretty much all of them, especially fighting games. I liked SF4 but absolutely sucked at trying any more complex combos.

What do you all do on your phones that isn't doom-scrolling or mindless mini games?

I find myself checking out pretty often and just making myself feel bad about the state of the world, or killing half an hour on stupid games that I could 100% live without. This is probably pretty common, and I’m wondering what other people have found as a way to do more productive things with their phones in the downtime.

Read news, articles, watch science/politics/etc. videos, look at art on Instagram where I post some of my own. And that’s it.

As people mentioned, looking at the camera’s gallery. Plenty of pics of my cats over there.

It’s a parody of the Firefox logo. I created it back in 2020, as I was starting to post my drawings on the internet, and wanted a cute icon to use.

As my art evolved, so did it. This version is from earlier this year.

In the last months my university started plenty of physical activity projects, such as volleyball. Now every Saturday we’re playing volley, it’s pretty fun!

One that marked me negatively was Chaos Walking. Not only does its concept sound dumb - a world with only men, who can hear each other’s thoughts -, but the constant loud mind reading was very annoying.

“I am Todd Hewitt I am Todd Hewitt I am Todd Hewitt shut up Todd I am Todd Hewitt omg is that a girl” UGHHHH 🤣

Apparently it’s based on a series of books. I think this mind reading concept didn’t translate very well to a movie format, maybe it works better in text.

Like people commented, having a hobby, creating content instead of just consuming, can help.

I like to draw, for example. I use Krita on my PC, it helps to pass the time. I’m creating a fun gallery with little stories behind some works. Thinking about creating some comics too.

I’m participating in a drawing workshop at college, and could replicate a bit of what we learned in my own work as well.

I was planning to watch this one in the cinema. It’s been quite some time I don’t go, and I liked part 1. Some videos I watched mentioned the book that inspired the series, and said this second part will be the best part of the story. Let’s see.
