Yeah like it’s cool my 200k town home I bought 4 years ago is now selling for 400k (neighbor just sold for that much).

Except that means that the 350k home I was thinking might be a nice upgrade one day, is 700k.

Like I’m way more screwed over now unless I intend to like sell my home then move to the middle of nowhere. All that higher value means is property taxes like you said. But of course renters are the most screwed.

ericbomb,

Can you believe what unity just did?

ericbomb,

Currently playing an evil dnd campaign where my little kobold’s dream is to become a dragon.

So he is trying to imitate a red dragon by burning everything down.

He wants potion so bad.

ericbomb,

Also isn’t he making a whole other game???

Like, this is Brandon Sanderson level of “I relax from working on my projects by working on another project”

ericbomb,

Ooh I’ve been debating getting one!

What species are they?

ericbomb,

Some species of wasps pollinate and eat smaller pests.

So don’t hate on the territorial demons too much!

ericbomb,

Wasps and hornets aren’t bees.

Bees in danger of extinction are mostly certain bumble bees.

ericbomb, (edited )

The ones I know of are exclusively bumble bees. Which yeah, don’t make honey we can eat. They actually hibernate during the winter, so they don’t need to make a ton of honey. Just enough to snack on if it’s too stormy to go looking for food.

ericbomb,

It’s a bummer that the territorial demons are important to the environment.

ericbomb,

Okay, but like, clearly that is their apple???

I mean so are all the others.

And you are their meat if they get too hungry.

They can be important pollinators while also being tiny demons.

ericbomb,

Yep yep! The main bees in trouble are cute little bumble bees. Since some native plants work best with their native bees, it’s problematic that the sweet little dummies are struggling.

But we just really love their cousins that produce candy in exchange for houses.

ericbomb,

I mean they pollinate too and are important to keep some pests in check. So they are important to the ecosystem.

They are also tiny demons and give me a sense of panic no other creature can because there is just so many of them and they are so small and full of hate.

It is a bummer that these are not mutually exclusive.

ericbomb,

Watch one of the other ones then.

This was a special one, but most of the time it’s a normal person who is spending more than they make every single day, and is in 10s of thousands of debt.

ericbomb,

You can not like his content, but don’t be sexist.

She actually said she hates all those types of comments. She likes doing comedy sketches and slice of life podcasts. While her being pretty helps a ton, that doesn’t automatically mean she’s gonna be a sugar baby.

It almost feels like in your mind pretty women can’t be broke, because they can always sell themselves. While some women are happy to sell their bodies, others it is a literal nightmare and they would rather be homeless.

ericbomb,

She consented to it and came back for another audit, and her finances were doing a good bit better with about half her debt paid off. And he does the same regardless of gender. He’ll call out anyone who is spending a lot more than they make. If he treated girls any different than the guys he would be sexist.

People like it who feel like they need tough love to break their bad financial habits.

So you are in fact the sexist one, because you are making assumptions about her based on her gender.

ericbomb,

All the upvotes I assume are from people who are equally as lost as us.

I got sour mentos gum recently and it was good for like… a little bit.

What makes you enjoy "generic" Youtubers?

I don’t want to offend anyone by the term “generic”, but by that term I mean the typical Youtubers who generate the same repetitive content over and over and over and over and over again and it’s usually content that is made with little effort and often with filler, such as unnecessary jokes. For obvious reasons I...

ericbomb,

Certain voices make brain release good chemicals.

If I could make those good chemicals be released in another cheap way, I would do that.

I don’t watch like react channels, but watch lots of like let’s plays and video game content. Some of it is super repetitive and I’ll admit nothing noteworthy happened or was said.

Brain still says need to watch for good chemicals.

ericbomb,

Go zero waste for your local environment

Overthrow the oligarchs for the global environment.

ericbomb,

How dare you suggest the obvious thing!

ericbomb,

I’m an old r/spiderbro enjoyer, so as long as they accept pictures of me talking about how I appreciate my room mate spider I might stop by!

ericbomb,

Yay spider bros!

With how many flies are in my house I keep wondering how many spiders I could release in my house before it becomes a problem.

Flies are noisy and up in my business all the time and trying to get on my food.

Spider bros just wanna find a nice corner where flies will run into them and chill out.

ericbomb,

Thank you for answering how you feel.

How you feel is wrong. But it’s still appreciated.

ericbomb,

Yeah! The definite edition is amazing and gets new expansions and updates all the time.

Not to mention big tournaments are always going on. It’s really active.

ericbomb,

If we thought catalytic converters were being stolen now, now no new ones are being made!

ericbomb,

Let the riots begin!!!

ericbomb,

That would be a very strange death as well.

I feel like biggest problem would be hackers wouldn’t vanish, but no developers would be around to fix issues.

Like tomorrow and the next day would feel the same as today.

But what about when a new Microsoft exploit is found? Or a medical software can’t handle a new treatment?

We wouldn’t die instantly, but first world country tech would just slowly start to betray us day by day without updates.

ericbomb,

Honestly if the AWS system admins all died at once I think that’ll probably be enough to take us down at this point.

ericbomb,

I pressed a few buttons on my computer and as a result am expecting a specific product to arrive at my door step later today.

The level organization and infrastructure required to make it so that I can have 1 of like a million products hand delivered to my door within hours of me deciding I want it is staggering to be honest.

ericbomb,

Since you’re now unemployed, wanna join my gang and try to take over the local ware house district full of rice so we can try and survive until humanity has fallen and we can survive on foraging?

ericbomb,

So is your thought that social workers are like a band aid that hospitals use?

“We don’t need to worry about how patient feels, social worker has that covered.”

ericbomb,

Oof yeah we would over night go back to the days of sanatoriums where having mental health issue is more or less just prison with a different name.

ericbomb,

Oh no, the self proclaimed scientists who never tried to disproved their hypothesis in their life will get even worse!

ericbomb,

Would auto pilot not keep them in the air for awhile?

I’m not saying it’ll be okay, just wouldn’t it be more of a creeping dread as panicked flight staff would call air traffic control for help? Then they would be in utter disarray and overwhelmed trying to guide hundreds of planes to land without an experienced pilot? Maybe a few would have retired pilots on board that with a bit of guidance from air traffic they could land…

ericbomb,

Ahh the small decay of our medical industry.

That’s a fun way for society to fall.

ericbomb,

Ahh so you’re who is keeping all thr cold war stuff running!

ericbomb,

A slow and painful death.

What will get us here in the US first? Exploits discovered to banking infrastructure that can’t be patched? A new virus or ransomware that AVs and firewalls can’t be updated to stop? Navigation software for satellites and boats not being able to be updated to deal with ever changing environments stopping trade world wide? All our medical data going poof because an auto purge feature of old data forgets how to count?

Who knows! Tomorrow may look the same as today, 3 weeks from now might look about the same, but sooner or later we’ll basically all be running windows XP.

ericbomb,

Well, we can’t all cause an apocalypse.

ericbomb,

I never heard of them and pulled up the channel… that’s a lot of circles and arrows pointing at things.

Even the best soldiers can fall to click bait.

ericbomb,

Oof, I blame youtube. They pay jack all on videos like that, even with 15 million views. The price is anywhere $1,200 to $6,000 per million views, based on view length. A short video like that probably was on the lower side in pay, but the time investment probably was immense. The practice, the planning, the editing, the probably hours of parkour that was cut, just the travel and flights alone…

Compared to them just going up a weird tent thing that is padded with 20 minutes of them reacting, and I’m going to “bet” has some sort of ad/product placement.

ericbomb,

Just wait until AI can do animation…

ericbomb,

Probably some weird AB testing where it was found people don’t like clicking on episode 107 of a long series because they don’t know if it’s something they need to start from the beginning of.

I hate it though when yt channels do that because they often reference previous or even spoil stuff in previous and I’m like… I had no way of knowing this was ahead of that!

ericbomb,

Oh no! What will I play in the background while I do the dishes???
