This was, in my opinion, the golden age of the internet. Such a wild place to explore. Now it’s just megacorps controlling everything one way or another.
Please understand that I haven’t tried or installed Arch Linux yet. From what I understand by reading and watching related videos, Arch is often breaks and a lot of time is required to fix issues. But I have also read comments from arch users who claim that arch has only crashed or caused them problems only a couple of times...
This has been my exact experience in the 8 years I’ve been using it as my desktop OS. Boot into windows to play some game I can’t get working, beat it a month later, come back and I need to get my boxing gloves out to use my computer again
There’s no technical reason the phone should slow down after 2 years unless newer OS versions are more straining, or all those years of gummed up apps are taking their toll. I’m on a 6 pro, which is now nearly 2 years old, not slow in the slightest.
Exactly. I no longer visit Reddit since the incident. I know I’m one person but there are others just like me. Fuck Reddit. I mean digg. Or do I mean Reddit? Ceo is a loser.
I didn’t even know about this. This is awesome, but the last thing I’d like to know is does it have predatory online requirements or can you play offline and not be forced to log in to play?
Just a little rant. When I first visited Lemmy Sites a couple of months ago it felt empty. Besides the really mainstream community pretty much everything else just felt empty....
Ya and I’d say lemmy has a significant user base too prior to Reddit. Either way I see more on lemmy now than I ever have. I’ve used it in the past for a while and it’s night and day better now, and I attribute that to Reddit imploding

Jebora is aight, but lacks polish. I don’t think yo ucan comment from sync yet… I got a “feature coming soon” or something when I did. I think this might also work on infinity for lemmy.
Edit: You can’t post links to communities with sync yet

My favourite is when I’m trying to click a notification tray thing and shit like teams messages keep popping up on top. Who the hell designed it so notifications come up on top of tray pop ups? So fucking stupid.
Experts say Ottawa is playing more of a role in housing, which is mostly a provincial and territorial responsibility, but federal involvement hasn’t brought much relief amid rising home prices.
How? I’ve been using sync for Reddit for so long I never tried some of the other ones like body or infinity. I actually had no idea it was open source either
Why YSK: It appears several Lemmy Instances are flagged as suspicious and at least 1 instance intentionally using the name of ransomware. Pro tip, use KVM switches and USB mouse movers. Also if your work is hardcore enough to restrict software… Just RDP to your home computer. But I leave no trace of my slack on my work machine.
You must be young. My first Linux distro was like knoppix back in… 2001? Shit ways way different back then. Drivers you had to find manually and inject during install 😂
