Which seems a fruitless ambition, the talents required to be great at both are very different, charisma and attractiveness are much more important in the film industry. People will naturally like those stars more because their job is in part to be likable
Youre right about the violence if he does, but I think its much more likely than anyone wants to admit. I’ll be extremely and pleasently surprised if he doesnt win with the way the wind is blowing

I love bridges. If I see a cool looking bridge, I want to cross it, especially if it goes somewhere that I’m not familiar with. Same with stairs outdoors. They feel like an adventure to me.
I’ve never really been a truck guy, I also hate driving large vehicles in general and both preferences predate both my knowledge and even belief in climate change(I was raised as an evangelical in the south).
If there was something like a Ranger or an S10 from the mid-late 90s with an electric motor I’d be all over it, fuck put out an electric El Camino and I’d rip my sleeves off on the way to the dealership
Have we considered trying to breed an army of wolverines to fight against climate change? We could at the very least unleash them on Wall Street and other financial districts

At visiting my parent’s this holiday weekend I tired to gently tell my parents that their coffee brew is very bitter. The response I get back is something like, " I like it strong."...
Not sure if you’re in the US but that seems likely with this sort of question so this is probably untrue for most other countries besides maybe the UK
Until somewhat recently, late 80s I’d reckon, while there obviously were places you could get ‘good’ coffee for enthusiasts, for the vast majority of people coffee was just something you drank to get through the day and stay awake. The folks that grew up and lived in that world have always mocked the ‘fancy’ stuff even when it started growing in popularity. How they define what coffee tastes like is likely harsh and bitter.
Same thing happened to beer, used to be you were a Budweiser, Miller, or Coors person, maybe there’s something similar in your region like Lonestar or Ranier but it’s nothing like today. And there are plenty of older folks that hate everything that isn’t a light American lager. It’s just happens.
Sorry that doesn’t really help you, just adding my thoughts
This, I already never play anything online because it’s not fun to suck, either constantly getting killed in competitive matches or being a drag on my team in coops. And I don’t have the time or energy at the end of the day to do that, but I do like playing games with others
I do feel for the folks that are very good and have to wait long times because that ruins the game for them but is it really an enjoyable competition if you’re just annihilating everyone every match, does that not get boring? Handicapping can keep it interesting for everyone it just needs to be scaled properly
Yeah the system itself is deeply fucking broken and we all know this, that doesn’t change the fact that shitty but not-fascism is 100% always better than fascism and the best way to defeat fascism is by supporting its strongest competitor currently even though we don’t like them either. Because the the better alternative to fascism is also still a part of the current system that we all know is broken. And while I personally loath the DNC and so many things about our current system of government and how the country behaves, they are still so much better than the losing alternative.
Third party candidates for president are currently unserious because of a litany of reason that have already been pointed out to you and then ignored by you. Money, existing party infrastructure, experienced campaign consultants, brand names, and just the way the majority Americans live their lives politically.
Fucking libertarians and greens can’t get elected for governor in 95% of states, how they hell do they expect to out fundraise and out campaign the two big dogs on a national level to compete in our fucking ridiculously long election cycle which not only serves to prevent alternatives but also to fund the capitalists at the top of media empires as they serve out disinformation to keep the ignorant angry and the informed in fear.
Voting 3rd party in the US for president is in fact throwing your vote away, but this time it comes with the added bonus of potentially being that last legitimate election you get to participate in. Because that’s what Trumps and his fascist friends plans are, it’s been all over this website and the rest of the internet, Project 2025.
If you don’t like the system as it is because it’s inherently unfair and in an advanced state of decay, are in good company, now you have to decide whether you want to try and fix it the peaceful way, which unfortunately involves voting for biden and getting really involved in working for the third party you prefer to build it up and maybe next cycle take one of the top spots because a Trump loss will put the GOP in a position to where that’s a realistic idea. Or the violent way and start a revolution, which I might be in complete favor of if we could ensure the outcome, but we can’t do that because that’s just not how revolutions work

How about if the company is so large and sewn into the fabric of the modern world then instead of dissolving the company it instantly becomes a public utility, turn the shares into treasury bonds, and jail the executives?
I’ve always been curious, because I’m not fond of underwear, but I don’t know how people make it work. Wouldn’t you have to wash the trousers every single day? How else would you keep them fresh? Do you use special deodorant for the area or panty liners on the trousers?...
