clay_pidgin,

Honestly the first one I remember was the VCR board game! EXPERIENCE BIJ! boardgamegeek.com/…/star-trek-next-generation-int…

I have played the heck out of ST:Armada and some of Elite Force 1. There was a really bad WII game too, whose name I forgot.

clay_pidgin,

Piker looks rather like Johnny Depp there. Just needs the dangly earings.

clay_pidgin,

It’s tough to generalize, but I think you did a good job here.

clay_pidgin,

That looks like it could be the cover of a Chuck Tingle book. Pounded in the butt by my own blue throbbing warp core

clay_pidgin,

That’s exactly what I would do - Get the neighbors to chip in and buy the lot to parcel up and add to our yards.

clay_pidgin,

I ampersand lieutenant semi colon three you too.

clay_pidgin,

Any trouble spots on the Surface? I have a 2017 model that could use a refresh, but I was worried about the touch screen, digitizer pen, and detachable keyboard.

clay_pidgin,

I’d just like to interject for moment. What you’re referring to as Parents, are in fact, GNU/Parents, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Parents

clay_pidgin,

Thank you, that’s great to hear! I’ll do it next week.

clay_pidgin,

I always have the keyboard attached, so that’s not a big deal for me. Thank you for the review.

clay_pidgin,

Thank you.

clay_pidgin,

I really liked the system, but I just can’t imagine playing without a dice rolling app.

clay_pidgin,

Hurray.

I bought one share for the meme, and I DRSed it and stuff, but other than helping to use GameStop to highlight malfeasance in the stock market, what’s the point? Nobody goes to GameStop any more. Even when they did, nobody liked it.

clay_pidgin,

I never noticed that. Absolutely right.

I’m sure it’s just the writers absentmindedly using the opportunity to pick on Ro.

clay_pidgin,

That’s a great explanation. Let’s go with that.

clay_pidgin,

Right.

Leaving out the ʻokina and kahakō changes the sound significantly. The ʻokina represents a glottal stop, the sound in the middle of “uh-oh”. In Hawaiian, it’s a letter of the alphabet. The kahakō (macron, the horizontal line over a vowel) means the vowel is long - as in pronounced for a beat longer. What we call long and short vowels in English should be considered different vowels because they are different sounds.

Hōnaunau-Nāpōʻopʻo

Is

Hohh nah oo nah oo Nahh pohh ohp oh

It’s hard to transcribe, I hope that’s of interest to someone. He haumana a ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi au. I’m still early in my learning.

clay_pidgin,

We use them all the time but we’re generally unaware of it. Like in “uh-oh”.

That’s leaving aside that Hawaiians ARE Americans, thanks to the Dole fruit company.

clay_pidgin,

We have a few copies too. It’s a fantastic game to play any time.

clay_pidgin,

If that wasn’t a joke, It is supposedly moving from Nickelodeon to Netflix. I don’t see it on Netflix yet.

clay_pidgin,

Gracias.

clay_pidgin,

I like youtube recipes, because I’m a new enough cook that seeing exactly how much to cut or knead things is helpful. I find myself jumping back all the time because I missed important steps.

What inconsequential or surprisingly good thing can I get from Aliexpress?

Im curious as I usually use the site very occasionally to get certain electronic parts or order from PCBway like I just picked up some cheap but infinitely better than stock gps antennas for my LoRa T beams and im about to get a set of also still cheap but much better than stock 915mhz antennas but i kinda wanna throw some other...

clay_pidgin,

Wow, China doesn’t have timezones? They’re a pretty darned wide country to pull that off!

clay_pidgin,

Do you pronounce it “KAYbin”, “kubin”, or some other way?

clay_pidgin,

That’s remarkable. With the subtitles you can really hear it!

clay_pidgin,

It really does. If I didn’t manage it, I would be exactly like this except the drinking.

Why do many microwave ovens hum in an interval of a minor 7th?

Something that I’ve noticed across most of the microwave ovens that I’ve used is that when they hum while cooking food, I can pick out 2 distinct tones. One of them is pretty clearly 60 120 hz, the 2nd harmonic of the AC power frequency. The other is consistently a minor 7th above that (which would be somewhere around...

clay_pidgin,

Interesting. I saw mostly 38Hz, 117, and 240. 100W LG microwave on US 60Hz with an audible fan.

clay_pidgin,

Great for reheating leftovers, if it has a good humidity sensor.

clay_pidgin,

I’ve never seen someone use Deciliters before! Love it. Disclaimer: I live in either the USA, Myanmar, or Liberia.

clay_pidgin, (edited )

The OP is boring noting the similarity in how former allies are whitewashed from history.

Specifically, the pic at the top had Nikolai Yezhov removed after.

In the bottom picture, I this think that’s Prigorin in the middle between Kadyrov and Putin, erased after his coup attempt. I’m not so good at identifying faces, so I could certainly be wrong.

clay_pidgin,

It does look a bit like him, but remember that Mussolini should always be upside down.

clay_pidgin,

Have you seen this? www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xfmOMqFQuA

It’s Peter Jurasik at BabCon '95 on stage for an hour improvising London.

clay_pidgin,

You’re welcome; it’s great!

clay_pidgin,

I’m glad you liked it.

clay_pidgin,

How could you not, it’s just too tasty.

clay_pidgin,

Of all the videos I’ve ever seen, that was definitely one of them.

clay_pidgin,

I wonder how out of the box you can go when solving the tasks.

clay_pidgin,

Fascinating; thank you for posting.

I've decided that I'm no longer just going to steal mostly workable maps for my campaign. I'll just make shitty stuff *quick*.

Here are two random encounter maps I made in an afternoon. I can put these out pretty quickly, so its kind of perfect for a sandbox game like the one I’m running. Keeps things fresh, even if they’re not as pretty as something produced professionally....

clay_pidgin,

I love the “see-through” cacti. Great idea.

clay_pidgin,

I’ve read several reviews that suggest DIY beef jerky is only slightly cheaper, and it’s a surprising amount of work per pound. The TL;DR of those reviews was that it’s just not worth it.

Has that not been your experience? I love to eat it but it’s pretty expensive.

clay_pidgin,

So you’re not answering international calls. That’s slightly different.
