Nhaa you’re projecting… It’s been tolerated for a while now and the « companies » are absolutely not being protected so far. As far as I know they can’t legally source their merchandise…
As much as I’m not letting my steak or chicken to vegans I really don’t understand why the fur business is kept alive. Who the fuck has the shit taste to wear that? And can afford it? Eating a cow I can get but skinning ferrets no fucking way.
Yeah… definitely a close 100% overlap. The thing is, as much as I loath them, I don’t see shit I can’t do against them that wouldn’t land me or mines in troubles. So even though I hate them with all my guts for the ferrets and much more I wonder; what can I do?
Very good points. Hard ones though. I’m from Belgium and we have elections next year. I have absolutely no party to vote for. Either they are advocating regionalism, corrupt as fuck, housing religious extremists or supporting the class divide. All assholes; it’s literally just choosing my poison, bit in the end you still fucking die.
I’m trying to talk to the few person I have around me but I’m starting to sound like an old angry & sour guy.
Risks of the AI going amok set aside there’s something appealing in not risking human lifes during conflicts. Karmically or economically wise. Also you remove the limitations of human bodies -suddenly your airframe can give 100% of its capabilities without turning the pilot in a milkshake.
That’s a bit of an extreme take on the topic… not wanting ads from the broadcaster is one thing, not wanting to be separately presented with the promotional items of the youtuber himself is something else. I like seeing what the guys I follow are putting out. Maybe a 2nd option in ads content would be appropriate for you but don’t throw everyone in the same bag…
I’ve been struggling with a rather complex shell script, and it’s becoming apparent that Bash might not be the best choice for this particular task. Damn. Before giving the shit to my indians teammates I need to know what the chart would look like in Belgium. But hopefully we’re doing better. Also how to you discuss this subject not sounding like a fucking racist?
Security cameras with a central continuous recording system + alerts and automations… plenty of fun to be had. Also wifi access points on poe depending on the interface speed. Got those 2 at home and it has been a treat so far.
I must be ootl; what’s the upside compared to Spotify ? Having to endure ads, talk-shows and other open mics while having shitty reception isn’t enticing… at least here there isn’t any station I would find satisfying content-wise; given the whole frequency assignment bullshit small stations are few and far between with nothing that would cover metal and / or frenchcore. So the small benefit of music discovery isn’t really possible anymore for me.
What mobile data usage? I’m loading my tracks at home save a few times I browse where I have network coverage… for all intents and purposes bar the monthly tax it’s the same as my good old mp3 player. Also audio streaming isn’t exactly the most bandwidth consuming thing right ? Unless you want lossless quality but then good luck with FM radio…
European country reporting; our radio offer sucks ass as well and has been for a while. There aren’t small niche stations on waves since it’s cheaper on the net. No clue how it is elsewhere but I don’t think it’s going to be better…
Newly discovered short stories of the author that had to physically destroy his latest work because he didn’t want those published due to his condition? I hope these aren’t part of the material he wanted to see irremediably destroyed. Not that I wouldn’t LOVE some more discworld stories but I respect his decision. GNU Terry Pratchett.
They went up 30% over 2023… according to my installer it’s due to availability shortage… I guess someone is making them artificially more expensive because greed.
It’s a classic figure in western culture… and a fitting character given his story and the planet he’s from. We’ve had plenty cowboys in movies, comic strips and I’m from europe… Not my favourite setting but it works…

That isn’t stopping executives from offshoring more and more functions… and yet, “you’re more creative in the same room”… yeah thought luck my devs are in fucking bengalore… 8000 km from our offices…
That and results in some more disparities between wealthy and commoners… the former will still take any flight they fancy while the later won’t get to travel anymore. The same that get shafted already by the shitty context. I find this a difficult point to tackle.
All applications of ai & assimilated aren’t nefarious… I’m shopping for a solution to help my company classify its data and do data discovery. I really hope I find a solution - which will likely be based on ai - because the alternative is either we don’t do the activity or the guys that will do it will be miserable. No one should have to spend days looking at very old data stores and wonder what’s in it - and then be accountable for the classification.
Haaaa oui…

Yeah I’m not saying there isn’t a good dose of enshittyfication but a lot / most of the smaller players are shitty altogether. Exception being Coolblue here in Belgium which has yet to fail me smaller shops are either price gouging or taking 2 damn weeks to process an order.
With Amazon at the very least I can watch Prime when I’m angry at their failures …
