I blame it on “content creators” on YouTube. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy watching someone play and complain about a bad game, but there are so many tubers that use the same format, or even the same titles just reworked a little bit.
A lot of this could be blamed on The Algorithm, but after a certain point you have to start blaming the creators themselves for sticking with the format.
Having never played the original System Shock, I played the demo of the remake and was blown away by how fun and involved it was, so I bought the full game. I still need to finish it, but it has a lot of charm and polish, and I really do hope they get to remake the second one at some point down the line.
I liked Hot Wheels Unleashed, but I realized after playing it on GamePass (when they came out with the GOTY edition a year after it released) that there were tons of cars and such that you can’t get anymore. They also used FOMO and predatory monetization during the game’s run.
Getting Doug With High is a podcast by Doug Benson where he invites other celebrities to hangout and get high with him. It’s pretty entertaining most of the time.
The first Eric Andre one is really good imo. Eric said he doesn’t usually smoke because he had a bad experience when he was younger, but in the episode he gets super baked and asks a random person in the studio for a hoodie, and then he just spends the rest of the time all cozied up in someone’s sweater. It’s pretty great.
I bought Hogwarts Legacy when it releases. The magic combat is pretty fun and can get pretty tricky to handle very quickly. The “puzzles” are probably one of the weakest aspects of the game, which kinda sucks because they make up so much of the side content (like about 80%). The story is fine, but it kinda falls apart towards the ending. Some of the pacing for some of the mechanics seems a little off as well.
The main draws to the game are the exploration, customization, and the world. Getting to explore every nook and cranny of Hogwarts was honestly an actual dream come true ever since I watched the movies as a kid (I never read the books), and the rest of the game world is massive. Flying around on a broom is actually really fun in-game, too. The customization options in the game are pretty robust; there are hundreds of different clothing and accessory items to find throughout the game world, and customizing the Room of Requirement can be a good time sink similarly to settlement building in Fallout 4.
Aside from some QoL things that probably should be in the game, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game. Just treat it as Harry Potter RPG Lite.
I only get those minor delays if I’m literally sprinting through the castle on my PC, and never at night in-game.
The game is absolutely gorgeous and my one main disappointment for it is there’s no photo mode.
Honestly, the vistas and scenery in the game are beautiful. There’s nothing quite like flying over a hilltop at night on your broom and seeing the castle looking over everything, lit up like Christmas lights.
I’ll tell you, there’s no blood in the game other than on the environment in some scripted parts of the game. The only other creepy or scary thing in the game would be the zombies.
I played through the first Division game and enjoyed it pretty well for what it was. I met some cool people online and we would team up fairly regularly.
I wish I would have gotten into Division 2. But it sounds like I still can!
Personally, I think it feels like a bit of a mix of Oblivion and Fallout 3, but with Skyrim-like updated graphics and such. But I kinda like that anyway.
Different from person to person, yet all the people I could smell all smelled very similar, like sweat and feet mixed with ass and bad breath. Every. Single. One.
HOW do people go out in public if they know they stink? How can they live with themselves not being clean at least semi-regularly? It’s baffling to me.
Something that’s not just walking around from place to place and occasionally hopping on the back of a flying creature. Some combat, maybe some dialog and how a quest/mission works in the game.
As it stands right now, and as someone else put it, it looks like a cross between Valheim and ARK. I just can’t get hyped for something like this when I’ve played plenty of other extremely similar games tons of times before.
You’re is the first comment I’ve seen on all these posts about the Sega reveal even mention BRC.
I loved JSRF and I loved BRC because it was everything we loved about JSRF plus a bit more. It kinda makes me sad to see all these people completely forget about that awesome game.
