Zahille7,

So how many open world survival crafting games that take place on an open ocean are there now?

Zahille7,

I personally think we’re overdue for another Simpsons game.

Zahille7,

That was just for the meme

Zahille7,

I think there are toggles for that in the first Spider-Man as well. It’s there in the System Shock remake, too, as well as (I think) Jedi: Survivor.

Zahille7,

“water down the brand”

Zahille7,

This needs to be more widely known, because it seems everyone who makes a fan game talks about it.

But I get it. If I worked really hard on something like this I’d want to tell everyone too.

Zahille7,

Didn’t the devs make a statement before the game released saying they condemn the actions of the Russian Government and their war in Ukraine?

Zahille7,

That did not answer my question.

Go away, troll.

Zahille7,

I blame it on “content creators” on YouTube. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy watching someone play and complain about a bad game, but there are so many tubers that use the same format, or even the same titles just reworked a little bit.

A lot of this could be blamed on The Algorithm, but after a certain point you have to start blaming the creators themselves for sticking with the format.

Zahille7,

Not sure why you felt the need to insult people who use YouTube, but okay.

There are plenty of legitimately good or entertaining channels out there that don’t pander to “The Algorithm”.

Zahille7,

Having never played the original System Shock, I played the demo of the remake and was blown away by how fun and involved it was, so I bought the full game. I still need to finish it, but it has a lot of charm and polish, and I really do hope they get to remake the second one at some point down the line.

Zahille7,

I liked Hot Wheels Unleashed, but I realized after playing it on GamePass (when they came out with the GOTY edition a year after it released) that there were tons of cars and such that you can’t get anymore. They also used FOMO and predatory monetization during the game’s run.

It was fun though.

Zahille7,

I’d actually watch some streamers if they did it like Getting Doug With High

Zahille7,

They have for a long time already. Look at any video game ad from the 90s

Zahille7,

Chai tea

Zahille7,

Getting Doug With High is a podcast by Doug Benson where he invites other celebrities to hangout and get high with him. It’s pretty entertaining most of the time.

The first Eric Andre one is really good imo. Eric said he doesn’t usually smoke because he had a bad experience when he was younger, but in the episode he gets super baked and asks a random person in the studio for a hoodie, and then he just spends the rest of the time all cozied up in someone’s sweater. It’s pretty great.

I bought Hogwarts Legacy when it releases. The magic combat is pretty fun and can get pretty tricky to handle very quickly. The “puzzles” are probably one of the weakest aspects of the game, which kinda sucks because they make up so much of the side content (like about 80%). The story is fine, but it kinda falls apart towards the ending. Some of the pacing for some of the mechanics seems a little off as well.

The main draws to the game are the exploration, customization, and the world. Getting to explore every nook and cranny of Hogwarts was honestly an actual dream come true ever since I watched the movies as a kid (I never read the books), and the rest of the game world is massive. Flying around on a broom is actually really fun in-game, too. The customization options in the game are pretty robust; there are hundreds of different clothing and accessory items to find throughout the game world, and customizing the Room of Requirement can be a good time sink similarly to settlement building in Fallout 4.

Aside from some QoL things that probably should be in the game, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game. Just treat it as Harry Potter RPG Lite.

Zahille7,

I only get those minor delays if I’m literally sprinting through the castle on my PC, and never at night in-game.

The game is absolutely gorgeous and my one main disappointment for it is there’s no photo mode.

Honestly, the vistas and scenery in the game are beautiful. There’s nothing quite like flying over a hilltop at night on your broom and seeing the castle looking over everything, lit up like Christmas lights.

And then you get to Christmas in-game.

Zahille7,

I’ll tell you, there’s no blood in the game other than on the environment in some scripted parts of the game. The only other creepy or scary thing in the game would be the zombies.

Zahille7,

They should’ve made it more like Magic Bully, but I still enjoyed the game.

Zahille7,

I played through the first Division game and enjoyed it pretty well for what it was. I met some cool people online and we would team up fairly regularly.

I wish I would have gotten into Division 2. But it sounds like I still can!

Zahille7,

It’s just “destined,” for future reference. “Destinate” means you’re choosing the fate of the game.

Zahille7,

I agree with this review. I haven’t finished the game yet myself, but I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with it.

Zahille7,

You also can’t have that much roleplaying depth with a procedurally generated world. There’s only so much that we’ll be able to do on RNG alone.

Zahille7,

Personally, I think it feels like a bit of a mix of Oblivion and Fallout 3, but with Skyrim-like updated graphics and such. But I kinda like that anyway.

Zahille7,

If you like Soulslikes at all, I’d recommend Hellpoint. It’s what got me into Soulslikes at all on the first place.

It’s pretty much Dark Souls in space, and there are actual guns you can use.

Zahille7,

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is your itch-scratcher for that

Zahille7,

Different from person to person, yet all the people I could smell all smelled very similar, like sweat and feet mixed with ass and bad breath. Every. Single. One.

Zahille7,

I mean actual shit smell is a biohazard, though. Like if someone didn’t wipe well enough, that’s a biohazard (very minor, but still).

Zahille7,

Whoosh

Zahille7,

You just described my usual routine. If I didn’t shower that day, I’ll put on some fresh deodorant and all.

Zahille7,

That last one… How did you put up with that?

Zahille7,

Excessive sweating is definitely something you should worry about.

Zahille7,

Really? The Bearglove scent from Old Spice smells JUST like jolly ranchers it’s crazy.

Zahille7,

This is literally what I’m talking about.

HOW do people go out in public if they know they stink? How can they live with themselves not being clean at least semi-regularly? It’s baffling to me.

Zahille7,

Also all their accessibility stuff

Zahille7,

My favorite are all the comments saying “lOoKs PrOmIsInG!”

My friend, we’ve seen literally one trailer and that’s it.

Zahille7,

You said it better than I could have.

Something that’s not just walking around from place to place and occasionally hopping on the back of a flying creature. Some combat, maybe some dialog and how a quest/mission works in the game.

As it stands right now, and as someone else put it, it looks like a cross between Valheim and ARK. I just can’t get hyped for something like this when I’ve played plenty of other extremely similar games tons of times before.

Zahille7,

lOoKs PrOmIsInG

Zahille7,

You’re is the first comment I’ve seen on all these posts about the Sega reveal even mention BRC.

I loved JSRF and I loved BRC because it was everything we loved about JSRF plus a bit more. It kinda makes me sad to see all these people completely forget about that awesome game.

Zahille7,

I mean the rest of the soundtrack still bumps…

Zahille7,

Now that’s actually kinda fun

Zahille7,

“Oh, man, look at all those TANKS! So cool!”

Zahille7,

Goddamn his smile in that picture is contagious. He looks like he’s just stoked to be there.

Zahille7,

I think it’s become a bit of a meme, but I’d recommend King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. They make music from all kinds of genres.

Zahille7,

Do you have an example or excerpt? I’d be interested in reading the absurdist parts, myself.

Zahille7,

I started playing with mods today because I seriously couldn’t get past the second level
