If I remember right X and Y have the horde mechanic so you can abuse that, I did that for a few shinies.
Also, I could be wrong about this, but I THINK that series also has an area under a bridge that has a 100% feebas spawn rate - I used that to farm a shiny feebas. It’s been a very long time since then, so it could be a different generation.
Good lucky shiny hunting!
Edit: just did some research and it seems the Feebas spawn is on ORAS. So it seems the horde mechanic is the best way to cheese out some shinies the fastest.
Oh yea I totally forgot about chain fishing. I got a shiny Relicanth like that, I forgot the details about it but it’s totally doable.
Edt: thinking about it some more I think I used an octillery with suction cups as the ability? This makes it to where there will always be a bite when you cast.
I never thought I would read that someone else had the same last consoles as me, feels good to not be alone there. I recently got a ps3 for the first time about a year ago solely to get the MGS collection and play through MGS4 since it wasn’t available anywhere else. Also some gundam games but I haven’t gotten around to getting those.
Modding FO4 is a must, and honestly adding in lighting fixes and better bullet acoustics changes the game so much with those two things. It needs a lot more but I’ve always felt those mods are so needed to make it engaging on a vanilla level.
MH:W was my entry into the series. It seemed to have a decent amount of monsters in it for the base game. How does that stack up to earlier titles like you were saying? That being said, there definitely could have been more, but the detail into the models and the game in general may have been a factor that they didn’t include as many as you’re saying.
But now, with World behind us, Capcom might see the writing on the wall that more people are playing World than Rise on Steam at any given point on the day and sink more time into adding in more base game monsters.
Honestly, this looks like a great xcom clone. One of the most disappointing things about xcom to me was the fact that you couldn’t do coop, great game otherwise.
What I love about this post is that the image is actually using the art of a Hearthstone card, Deadly Arsenal. The variation between card games is great and seems to have a central theme lol
Oh nice, I didn’t know this was from the WoW TCG as well. Hearthstone used a lot of art from it in earlier sets, Chillwind Yeti is a good example of a completely different card and subject matter than its original.
I’m assuming in some areas where it is just busy work with coding or modeling that it might be beneficial for AI to do the bulk of the work and have people come in and clean it up. This would alleviate workloads on developers so they could work on making the game better rather than doing tedious tasks that could otherwise be cranked out by an AI.
I mean the reason we are seeing massive layoffs right now is due to the fact that companies were over highering after COVID because profit margins were up tremendously and if you’re a publicly traded company, line must go up. Things have started to level out again and companies see that the growth they thought they had isn’t sustainable so they’re cutting loose ends. I’m not saying what you said is wrong here and what they’re doing is right, but what the industry is experiencing now can be attributed to growing pains of the capitalist structure we’re in.
If anything the mass layoffs of developers might be a blessing in disguise because they could potentially rally together and make their own indie company or join others, which IMO indie games have a much brighter future than the huge conglomerate gaming corporations we have now (looking at you Microsoft).
Well with the amount of cash they’ve raked in recently hopefully they’ll hire more help. I’ve enjoyed playing it with my friends a bunch recently so here’s hoping.
I am super sick right now and haven’t eaten much in a few days. It’s getting to the point where I am gonna need to force myself to eat something to keep my strength up but everything just sounds terrible to me right now. I have been subsisting mostly on small glasses of milk and the occasional packet of instant oatmeal....
Honestly a good smoothie from somewhere is all I can get down when I’m feeling like that. Filling for about an hour or two though but pack with vitamins and goodness.
Don’t give fuel to this chud who likes to correct simple grammatical errors on random internet posts like its a big deal. Or just keep making errors out of spite, sounds like a lot of fun.
Best thing to do for me is to just look at the clock and set a time to get off, depending on the length I want to sit down it’s usually 1-3 hours. Usually when that time comes around I notice what I’m doing in game and realize without that time limiting I would probably stay on for way longer.
Was thinking about this today, pretty unique time way back in my gaming past. Belonged to a clan that would play things like War Rock (old F2P game), Battlefield 2, early CoD games, etc....
Team coke in MW:2 on 360. I played a game on shipment with them and mopped up, they invited me and I had a blast. It was pretty multifaceted, I won’t ever forget King juice, black dude that worked at Comcast- funny as all hell when we got him to do his Comcast lines lol.
A friend got me into New World when he started playing, never played an MMO more for more than a week but this one seems like it might hold me for awhile. Waiting on D4 season 2. A little bit of cyberpunk 77 since the dlc dropped and Project Zomboid when I’m in the mood. ALSO KATAMARI DAMACI.
The next major update is going to be glorious. If you haven’t been following it I suggest you should. They post updates on their progress every few weeks.
Yea the buildings and basements open up soooo much potential as well. Really excited for what they’ve cooked up. Also the new crafting system. I’m so ready lol. Besides all the mods breaking its gona be a great time when it does launch.
Change your name to something obviously fake. Years back I had my name as something that wasn’t my actual name, they asked me for my ID to verify my identity. Well, I sent them some gross pictures I conjured up from the internet and uploaded those instead of my ID and it didn’t take long for them to just completely deactivate it.

there is a silent threat that affects kitties – chronic kidney disease. My first cat died from kidney failure. She was about 15 or 16 at the time so she wasnt exactly young. But it really affected me as a kid because I grew up with her. So glad this to read this.
Yep, many fast food places are already implementing AI taking orders in the drive thru, not to mention all the kiosks in the lobby. Only a matter of time until making the food is automated and all there will be is a skeleton crew of workers to make sure everything is running smooth.
Start playing more indie games with passion behind them and less AAA money grabbing half polished turds they keep pumping out. It’s the only way out of this mess.

Still one of the best puzzle games ever made, Valve’s Portal 2 now has a community-made VR mod available in the early stages that’s already quite impressive. Well yea, if you buy any digital game anywhere but GoG, I don’t know any others that have policies like theirs, you’re basically just renting it, you dont buy the game you just buy the license. GoG has a system set up to where you actually own the game, and if they went out of business tomorrow, you could still play your games fine.
Let’s say you happen to buy a game or dlc off of a second-hand site and redeem it on steam, origin, or whatever launcher. You use it, and it works, and you play for a while, no problem. Well, if that key you bought is flagged for whatever reason, and the publishers of said game can decide to revoke the license you bought, and that’s a wrap. Because that’s all you’re buying, even straight from steam or anywhere else - just a license. I used the second-hand website as an example because it does happen there. I haven’t really heard anything happening on legit purchases straight from a vendor, but the legal wording is all there, and what I described is possible.
All these psychopaths saying kill the cat or catch it and relocate it are fucking deranged. Talk to the owners if you know who it is… firstly, I’m sure they would at least be receptive to the problem and if they’re not then maybe look into legal outlets. If you’ve gone out of your way to post on lemmy you’re technically savvy enough to look up local laws. people have also posted actual remediation methods that aren’t terrible and could actually improve your lawn in some scenarios as well so maybe try those out if you’re into them.
I’m positive that no one wants to lose a pet in any capacity. Just some simple communication with the owners could solve this, and if not, there are other options.
Sorry you’re going through this though, shit sucks. Pun intended.
Hurricane Idalia strengthened to a dangerous Category 4 storm Wednesday morning as it steamed toward Florida’s Big Bend region and threatened to unleash life-threatening storm surges and rainfall....
Living down here, I always find it funny when a hurricane is in the gulf - people start praying it doesn’t come their way. Like, yea God, fuck those people over there but we’re cool so fuck up their lives and not ours, please ok thanks.
Never really liked titles from Activision or ubisoft to begin with and thats just my opinion, just enjoyed the odd blizzard game and that’s been a rocky road as of late. I’m just not a fan of monopolies really, and if I can avoid shoveling money into the beast then I will. But as time goes on it will be harder and harder to navigate this because I’m sure there I’ll be some games put out by companies owned by Microsoft because their reach is so big I’m starting to get more into indie games as well party because of this in part.

Hey all, so about 10ish years ago I used to torrent a few things, nothing heavy like games or programs but just TV shows and what not. I got burned pretty bad, had my computer compromised and files encrypted. I was able to salvage most of my rig but a lot of pictures and files were lost to the ether. I want to get back into this but understandably I’m pretty concerned about it. Any tips on getting safely back into sailing the seas?
