There’s a power setting akin to “always on” that allows the console to wake up and install updates as they become available. It increases power consumption substantially. If you don’t want this you need to turn it off, I think it is on by default. You can find it in settings.

Kurtis is a dry-as-a-rabbit-fart humoured Aussie bloke with absolutely incredible skills on metal working machines like lathes, boring machines, welding equipment. Super interesting how he repairs stuff. The channel has grown so much it’s getting borderline re niche.
He repairs heavy duty equipment and engineers incredible solution for his customers often improving the original parts so it can repaired next time for cheaper.

Been using “Whisk” for a while but they were bought by Samsung and have been slowly going down hill. Any good iOS apps for recipes? I hear good things about Paprika but not sure if it’s worth it…...
Paprika is where it’s at. The cloud sync function is phenomenal and no ongoing subscription required.
You can just have it on the desktop and iOS, it’s synced automatically via the Paprika cloud (if you want to, it’s free of charge), and you’re set.
Looking up recipes and annoyed by reading the life story of the blogger? Just browse the site in the inbuilt Paprika browser, hit the download button and everything’s there, ingredients, instructions, the lot. Don’t like the recipe? Don’t save it. Easy.
It’s a game changer for anyone seriously into collecting recipes and building their own database.
You can sort, aggregate, tag and rate your recipes to your heart’s content, and back up your database into a LOCAL backup for peace of mind.
Only Paprika ticked all the boxes I wanted in a recipe app. The non-subscription model is what convinced me and I’m soooo glad I made that leap. You won’t look back.
