I take screengrabs through the year of products I’m interested in and keep records. So I tend to see when they raise their prices in early November, only to drop it to just above the original price for their Black Friday “deals”.
Really there needs to be changes in consumer law to tackle this. We either lost a bunch of legal protection after Brexit, here in the UK, or the retailers realise they can get away with it. Amazon is really bad at this. So are the really big tech retailers.
More incel vibes than Columbine. If he wasn’t rich he’d never get anywhere near vagina, let alone set up bunkers with his stored semen and fertilised eggs…
From what little I understand UK law lets us have personal copies but nothing else. Certainly no distributing (and I wouldnt myself). This is just to make my life easier so I can find a film (or even TV show) easier and have it all in one place.
This guy makes amazing videos about ancient cultures, but just lately I’ve noticed he does these slightly creepy old-perv vibes in his shorts/tiktok videos. The protagonist is usually a young woman half his age who probably wouldnt give him a second look.
I asked a couple of women at work about this and they said “perv” too, so I dont know. Miniminuteman does content shorts blasting poeple for similar beliefs but they’re mostly guys, so I dont think its fair to say its a women only thing.
I do also think its wise for academics not to avoid socials as thats where the misinformation is spreading these days.
Yeah I wouldnt buy anything other than lifepo4 (sometimes listed as LFP). I am kind of surprised they dont use these types of batteries in escooters etc, less people would have their homes burned down. They take up about 1/3rd more space but I reckon its doable,.
Dont buy their branded solar. There are far, far cheaper solar panels (like rigid Voltacon and Renogy) where you can get 2-400w for about £150 depending on the dealer, brand etc.
No its rated for 3000 cycles for over 90% before on average then drops to about 85% after. The degradation is very slow on this chemistry. And it might be 23 cents where you are, but in other places around the world its a lot more. Up to three times that (we pay 42p now, but were at 55p in January - 68c).
There are also far cheaper solar panels than the Bluetti branded portable ones. I bought a 360w solar panel for £120 here, brand new. The prices do fluctuate (eg cheaper to buy during winter).
I didnt know who she is until this tbh (I live in a conservative English town) so had no vested interest in her story or whatnot. I do wonder if this was an “angle” that record companies so often boast about finding for their artists? Not that its any kind of excuse.
My last music post for a while, as I may be away from the computer/phone for a couple of days… I hope you enjoy the melancholy and beauty sprouting out if this album.
I mean, I dont actually mind ads… within reason. But over the past few years I have watched less and less youtube content due to the ratio of ads to the actual bloody content I wanted to view....
Its interesting. You talk to my generation and older and they see the ads as invasive. They grew up with less because of TV. And it wasnt really targetted/personalised like internet ads. Younger people, say mid 20s and under dont realise how many ads those are. I reminds me of the rights people lose over the years because people werent educated on matters.
Oh I am not saying YTers are unskilled. I am saying the perception is that they are. That will prevent many from paying for those premium subs. Where as with Disney and Amazon, for all their faults people know they’ll get TV and movies written by big teams with big casts.
Netflix and Disney are threatening ads in their paid services, with maybe a higher priced tier to then avoid them. I think this is the model streaming is going for now.
