Cider is two things. Hot cider is specifically a spiced apple juice, served hot. Cider also refers to alcoholic cider made from fruits, usual apples. If you go to a bar and ask for a cider in the States you will not receive hot cider.

It’s a ridiculous diet for someone with no preexisting conditions. There may be medical reasons to go on it. It is not necessary, and can be dangerous, for just anyone to attempt it to lose weight. And don’t get me started on all the keto friendly supplements that are hawked to people.

Hey, I wear normal Oakley prescription glasses and they’re great. They were the most comfortable frames at the optometrist. Didn’t even know they were Oakley until after I bought them. That being said, I’m not saying you’re wrong.

In the majority of cases it is not dangerous. In rare circumstances it can be dangerous. This is something that should be discussed with a medical professional prior to beginning.

Any time you are going to have a restrictive diet change it should be discussed with your doctor.

Interesting, that’s good input. I had that issue the time before my last visit when I bought new frames. They did not do anything with fitting and just gave me the frames off the shelf. I did not know that wasn’t a common practice until last time. They took time to do a fitting. Still ended up with Oakley though, maybe not next time.

I enjoy their products but I certainly don’t agree with their practices. Thing is, I don’t have the energy required to untether myself or get around anti ad blocking. It’s just too much and it’s honestly the least of my concerns in life.

Awesome find. When I was a kid in the 90s I found an Intellivision with 30 games at a yard sale and bought it for $5. This was one of my most prized possessions. I wish I still had it today.

I have no problem with paying for no ads, in fact I think it’s ideal. But they keep increasing prices and justifying it by including YT Music. Honestly, if you aren’t paying for another music service already it’s a great deal. Problem is I don’t know anyone that does this.

That’s a good question, I haven’t actually used the Spotify integration, just seen that it’s an option. I know it is more to set time for focus with automatic breaks and return to focus times.

This is actually a misconception. The modern English accents are a result of fashionable language of London. This developed after the United States of America was formed. So after the Middle ages. It’s more likely English speakers in the middle ages sounded more American than English.

Some libraries have this in the US, but not all. Also a lot of funding to libraries has been cut over time. Due to this a lot of libraries that once had these features no longer do.

I’m of the mind that violence towards innocent civilians is never justified. Violence towards an oppressive authority can be, depends on the situation. Also, as a side note, it’s impossible to commit violence towards property/inanimate objects. Violence, in my opinion, is an act that specifically harms a person. So burning a house down, even if the owner is not in it, is still violence towards a person.

That’s true, I would argue that is someone is threatening you then you can obviously respond with violence. This is an issue that has been going on in Israel. Civilians were given weapons and backed by the military to settle. This definitely blurs the line and helps to illustrate the complexity of the problem. In the case of Israel, the current situation is absolutely the result of its governments policies over the past several decades. This does not excuse wanton violence targeting civilians directly though. That’s not even to mention the attacks and absolute war crimes happening to Palestinians right now and in the past.

It is a complicated question with not a single clear answer for every situation.

Feeling the same way. I’m glad you are safe though. It’s just best to be fully prepared if you are anywhere close to where they think it’s going. Couple hours outside the cone a couple days out? Get prepared because that cone can shift drastically so fast.

What film, show or game that is not necessarily 'underated' didn't have the level of social impact it deserved.

What’s the antithesis of Arrested Development, Firefly or The Big Lebowski? Those may never have ‘found their audience’ but over time seemed to recognised by everyone. What are the deep cuts that you liked but it feels like everyone has completely forgotten they even existed.
