By default I use Google and it shows search suggestions, but when I add a custom search engine like https://www.google.com/search?q=, or a completely different one, I don’t get any. I don’t really care where the suggestions are coming from, they could be the same as the one for the default engine.
If you want to be able to add custom engines directly from the settings, in about:config add browser.urlbar.update2.engineAliasRefresh and set the value to true, after that you should see Add button in about:preferences#search
Edit: nvm, there doesn’t seem to be field for suggestions…
Edit2: There’s also mycroftproject.com, where you can try to find the search engine you want.
Hello, could someone recommended a keyboard for android that is a bit smart in predictive typing? I used to like swiftkeybefore it was bought by microsoft. Not that swiftkey itself was much better but I was not so privy conscious at that time....
After this you can’t even get most of the crap that is in this game.
Also, at the moment you could get for example some black market items for 300 credits through trading, whereas they try to scam 2000 credits from you for these items in the item shop…
This has been driving me nuts for a while. I’ll scroll past 50-100 posts and then realize I wanted to see a post I JUST scrolled past. So I swipe down to get back to it. But the app interprets this as “please refresh my feed”. So I’m sent back to the top. Having all of the items I just scrolled past now marked as read....
@aeharding Would it still be possible to try adding that to the CSS? Pull to refresh implementation is still buggy on Android Firefox and this seems to help prevent it from using the browser’s own and using the app’s own instead.
If it is installed as PWA and you apply it to html I noticed that buttons in bottom bar seems to become unresponsive sometimes for some reason if I click on link that takes you to another site and then come back
If I apply it to [data-test-id=“virtuoso-scroller”] instead it seems to work better? Not sure where would be the best place for it.
Edit: Nevermind, I now got that unresponsivenes thing even without any changes, so seems like it might be seperate bug.

The current focus is on implementing next-word suggestions, which has become complicated/hit a snag and is taking more time than originally planned. Updates will come when this issue is resolved. Thank you for being patient.
I’ve gone between a few but on desktop it’s Librewolf. Just like Firefox but more privacy by default. On Android I’ve tried Fennec, Brave, Iceraven, and Mull. Out of all of them Iceraven has been my favorite simply because of its support for desktop extensions.

Can I add a custom search engine *with* query autocomplete / search suggestions?

I would donate to (and have donated to some of) the following:...
What's your favorite FOSS oriented browsers?
