SneakyWeasel,

This is actually a philosophical problem. I think it’s the parable of pacifism, if I remember right? Basically, the advocacy for total pacifism and acceptance of all groups doesn’t work if one group is specifically advocating for the death of the others because then there’s a net loss.

So yes. No nazis. Period.

SneakyWeasel,

I didn’t use to either shower or bathe but it was a mental health issue: I went though both depression, which didn’t help, and I didnt have good showering habits due to being kinda aquaphobic. If water hit my face at all I would think I’d die (pretty dumb I know). Nowadays I bathe pretty much daily. Having a detachable showerhead helps a lot so I don’t have to deal with water on my face.

SneakyWeasel,

I know this is kinda off base, but the Temple of Satan has churches, and they’re absolutely pro gay and pro trans. They’re the anti mainstream religion, basically.

SneakyWeasel,

I guess it’s cus everyone has a different standard of what pollution is for them. For me, the sound of windchimes calm me, I find industrial air vents relaxing, and church bells oddly peaceful, but can’t stand someone even driving near me, dogs barking, babies crying, or fluorecent lights flickering. But you know, people need to drive, dogs and babies need to talk, and the world goes on.

SneakyWeasel,

Might just be cus we’re both neurodivergent, but we have a lot of non verbal cues, though he’s nowhere near as showy as I am.

Whenever I end up overstimmed and go non-verbal, I tug at his shirt gently, or paw at him. From then it’s simple ASL. For him, he genuinely just has simple phrasing or wordings that are kind of “key words” between us. The both of us are high functioning in our 20s, this is just kind of how it ended up and we’re both super not subtle about it. It’s great.

Edit: we literally do pigeon noises at each other at random. One of us says coo and the other goes roo. It’s literally just a “thing” between us and it started because of us watching pigeons together and it stuck.

SneakyWeasel,

I just download the songs and play them off of Musicolet.

SneakyWeasel,

Bone gnawing for me. And I genuinely mean that, I find gnawing on a piece of bone insanely calming for me, but it makes literally everyone I talk to insanely uncomfortable. I love gnawing on bbq ribs, chicken wing bones, pork chop bones, T bones. I love bone marrow and trying to dig for it. Family says it’s bad etiquette, though my partner doesn’t mind.

SneakyWeasel,

You can absolutely have the opposite example. I’m subbed to a bunch of niche Lemmy instances, and no one has posted anything in there for literally months.

SneakyWeasel,

Probably missing the point, but RN I’m stuck with a horrid ass flu that makes my entire muscles sore, couldn’t sleep yesterday because of cold sweats, and just all in all feel like garbage, and you could not imagine the relief I felt when tested it turned out to not be COVID (And yes, I am up to date with the COVID vaccines).

The Miracle Worker (startrek.website)

“I called her and I said, ‘Hey, this is Jimmy Doohan. Scotty of Star Trek. I’m doing a convention in Indianapolis, and I want to see you there.‘” he explained. “I saw her. Boy, I’m telling you — I couldn’t believe what I saw. It was definitely suicide. Somebody had to help her, somehow. And, obviously, she...

SneakyWeasel,

I mean shit dude, sometimes these people literally have no one else to go to. There was a super scary example of it on a Chuggaconroy video where a comment was like “thanks for the memories and for making my days a bit better” and everyone figured it out, and like every single comment - including the creator - told him not to and they succeeded. But still it was fucking insane to see on a YouTube video.

What are some YouTube channels which follow pre-monetisation ethos?

I’m looking for some small content creators who’s content has not been influenced by the potential of making money. In the early days of YouTube there was mostly trash, but then a few small channels started using formats, using specific styles and actually standing out above a pile shit....

SneakyWeasel,

Chuggaconroy and TRG have pretty much kept up their quality over 20 years at this point, specially Chuggaconroy. He specializes in Nintendo games, and he’s known for doing borderline encyclopedic let’s plays, such as 100% Xenoblade chronicles. TRG meanwhile is just three guys hanging out and having fun. Just a fair warning, Chugga in particular has very high energy. Not obnoxious, like Mr.Beast or other high content YouTubers, but he’s known for having extremely high energy moments. His newer content is much more mellow.

SneakyWeasel,

Unironically love mist for extremely hot fuck off days where you run it for less than 10 secs and it cools you off fast.

When was the last time a dream made you feel genuinely happy, and what was it about?

About 3 years ago I dreamt that I was in a downtown Chicago office interviewing for a fancy new job. For whatever reason my mom came along for the interview and was patiently waiting for me in the office lobby. About half way through the interview it began to dawn on me that my mom passed away over a decade ago. This realization...

SneakyWeasel,

Had a similar experience? My current partner are high school sweethearts, and we started taking after I was rejected by my first crush. In the dream my first crush was flirting a lot with me and I started to panic because “oh god I dont wanna leave my boyfriend I love him!” And eventually told them to sod off.

Woke up with the biggest feeling of relief in my life.

SneakyWeasel,

Really, I’m still on Twitter because I follow a lot of my favorite artists there, and they sure don’t have Mastodon.

SneakyWeasel,

Gender fluid, so it really does depend on how I’m feeling at the time. But I’ve had two experiences, as a bio female.

First was telling my parents, them both being supportive and my mom surprising me with men’s shirts and vests so I can dress like a guy easier when I want to.

Second was my openly bi boyfriend saying “are you kidding?? You’re a guy and a girl! I won the lottery!” When I sat town to talk to him about it. He’s also super accepting of me being the male and the top, if you get my gyst. Its oddly affirming for the both of us considering he hasn’t had the best time being accepted as a bi man.

SneakyWeasel,

My highschool chem teacher’s first words were. “Ice breakers are so boring, let’s go blow stuff up!” And then imediately showed us what happened when you drop a cube of pure sodium on water.

Best fucking class I ever had.

SneakyWeasel,

Hell as a teen I fucking hated those tests because I didn’t even know what I wanted to study, and everything I started just felt either so daunting or not worth my time. It straight up advised me to be an accountant and I got depressed thinking that’s what my life would be.

Nowadays I’m in IT, and sure, a bit on the full side, but I actually get it, makes good money, and on the side I paint for fun. Not the worst life, and certantly better than being a goddamn accountant.

SneakyWeasel,

Dude I wish. Didn’t know what candy cigs were til I was on my 20s, and I learned that the chocolater sells fake chocolate joins. You bet your ass i was pretending to smoke that shit.

SneakyWeasel,

Me with Bojack. I straight up tell most folks to skip the first 5 episodes and start with 1-6. The jump in quality the show does when it gets to “The Telescope” is staggering, it doesn’t feel like the same show.

SneakyWeasel,

Ok, yeah, my partner loves the Mc Neal Seal puns, and even when we were watching it he was like “season one is supposed to be the bad one? Jesus the show is good then”

SneakyWeasel,

Honestly my biggest blunder of this was telling my boyfriend we watch Miraculous Ladybug and that it gets really good in season 5. I honestly lucked out that we both found it a riot from start to end, it’s now one of our favorite shows.

SneakyWeasel,

I’ll be honest, have the complete opposite approach here. I moved around a lot, country to country even, back when I was a kid, and had no way of keeping up communication with anyone before. Now in highschool, I made friends though a club and met by now partner, and all of us have admitted we probably wouldn’t have stayed in contact if it wasn’t by us sharing a videogame server in which we stream on the weekends, which came in handy specially during the pandemic. We’ve all been friends for 5 years now.

SneakyWeasel,

Honestly, the first thing that I thought about was what if the sign had a slur word. Sure freedom of speech means say what you wanna say, that doesn’t mean people aren’t gonna sock you in the face.
