Yes, I would, and I do. I’ve lived in a small rural town my entire life. I couldn’t imagine living in a big city, too many people, too much traffic. Where I live, I’m completely surrounded by woods, and I enjoy just going outside everyday and taking walks and enjoying nature. Also, I have no neighbors, which I really like.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

I don’t really get what you’re saying, but yes, I enjoy taking walks in the woods and enjoying nature, as I said in my comment. What does that have to do with traffic?

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

I’m in the US, and no, I cannot drive a manual transmission. I did try to learn when I was younger, but just couldn’t get the hang of it, plus I didn’t really see the point, when automatic transmissions exist.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, me too. Not really the pics I’m hoping to see when browsing this community.

What would be the odd addition to your dream house?

Somehow you’ve gotten your dream home. The cabin in the mountains, penthouse downtown, castle nestled deep in the woods, nuclear bunker in the hills, or whatever. Whats the bit you’d add that might raise a brow from others? The fireman’s pole? The slide? The moat? The hidden room behind a bookshelf where you keep your...

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

That actually sounds really nice. I’d like to have that addition to my house as well.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, I do it the same way as you. I eat breakfast first, then brush my teeth.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

I honestly don’t find him that attractive. I don’t think that he is repulsive, but I just don’t think he is very handsome either, but everyone has different tastes.

I am using Sync for Lemmy. I was a Sync for Reddit user for quite a while, and now I am enjoying using Sync again, but now on Lemmy.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

Actually, I have never had an account on Facebook, Instagram or Threads, and don’t really plan on ever having one on any of them.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

About 10 lbs.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

I assure you he’s not the same size. The deer in the picture are actually a little further away than they appear to be. I guess it just gives the illusion of my cat being bigger.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

I rarely use cash, so the majority of all my purchases are made with a credit card.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

I use Signal, and currently I’m just using the default profile pic.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

What? I really don’t understand the point of this post.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

When I was first setting up my Lemmy account, this was the song that happened to be playing at the time, and I’ve always really liked the song, so I just decided to use it as my username. The song is Precious Declaration by Collective Soul.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

That was my thought exactly. I mean I do wipe the fingerprints and any smudges off when needed, but that’s about it.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

Yes, I do have it in a case. If I should ever need to take it into repair, I’ll be sure and take the case off and clean the phone first.

not seeing any non negligible difference between 60 and 120 Hz, am I weird?

Just got a new phone (OnePlus Nord 3), turned refresh rate HUD in developer settings and I see some parts of the system and some apps display 120 Hz but I have problem noticing any difference, same with my wife’s Redmi Note 12, i have to look very carefully and maaaybe I notice some different, not sure

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

My phone has an option to either use 60 Hz or 120 Hz. When I first got the phone, I switched it to the 120 Hz and used it for a while, then I switched back to the 60 Hz, and I really couldn’t tell any difference, so that’s what I’ve left it on. I guess some people can just tell the difference more than others.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

No, I am not, and I never have. I guess I’m not quite that tech savvy.

Lemmy is down everywhere. Can't access Lemmy.World, Sh.itjust.works, Lemmy.dbzer0.com, Lemmy.ca...
But, Kbin is working

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

Is it still currently down for you? I’m on lemmy.world, and it is working for me, at least right now.

Edit: It seems you’re not the only one having problems.

18+ Ladies of Lemmy, how common is it for women to have foot fetishes like some men do?

Personally, I don’t get it. Foot rub sounds nice, but like not THAT nice. But I posted on a dermatology sub once and my DM’s blew up asking my gender. Just from dudes though. Are there some women who are perhaps more quietly excited by feet though? Random thought as I sit here grinding off my cracked heels…

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

I am a lady, and I do not have a foot fetish. I didn’t know that it was really that common for men to even have this.

I use Jerboa mostly, but I’ve also tried out the other apps as well, but so far Jerboa has worked the best for me. However, I’m just waiting for Sync for Lemmy to be released. I used Sync for Reddit for a long time, so I know that it will be just as great.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

Yes, I’ve been using Bing as my search engine for several years. At first I started using it because I was able to earn points for searches with Microsoft Rewards, but now I just use it because I like it.

I brush and floss my teeth twice a day, in the morning and before bedtime.

Since you said you were using Connect, I am commenting from the Connect App, testing just to see if I could upload a photo from the app. I just clicked on the image icon when replying, then clicked upload, and selected image.

Edit: It seems to work when replying in a comment, you would think that it would work when submitting a post as well. I mostly use the Jerboa app, and I have been able to upload photos in posts and comments without any problems.

I use Glass Pack Pro by Nate Wren Design for a lot of my home screen setups. They basically go with any wallpaper. I just really like the looks of them. The icon pack also comes with some widgets, like a clock, battery and weather widget, which matches the icon pack. Also, the icon pack is still getting updates.

I mostly use Jerboa, but if I start having issues with it, I also have Liftoff, Connect, wefwef, Thunder and a shortcut/PWA (for each instance that I have an account with) installed on my phone, so I can always use one of them as well, plus I like to see how each of the apps are progressing. Mostly though, just waiting for Sync for Lemmy to be released.

I have a Samsung a53 5G, and the system storage on my phone is 26.34 GB. I didn’t even realize until I just now looked that it was taking up that much space.

I don’t think there is currently an option to save/view posts or comments yet. Here’s a link to their GitHub, it says that the feature is coming.

Currently using Jerboa v0.0.34, had too many issues on newer versions since lemmy.world is unable to update to Lemmy v.18. Also been testing out Liftoff, Connect, and Thunder, they're all fairly decent, all the apps are still a work in progress though. However, I'm just waiting for the release of Sync for Lemmy.

I like that Lemmy doesn't have karma points, and hopefully it never will. I actually wish that it didn't even have the downvote button. For me, that was one of the bad things about Reddit, you could just make an innocent comment, and users would downvote you for no reason. I didn't even realize Kbin had reputation points. I'm glad that I chose Lemmy.

How many apps for Lemmy are being developed or planned at the moment for Android?

I use Jerboa, it's good but I wonder what other apps could bring to the table. One thing that Jerboa still doesn't have yet is an image viewer, every image link I enter opens up the link in an internet browser and the image loads very slowly, tho that might be cause Lemmy.World image hosting servers are still small and new.

PreciousDeclaration,
@PreciousDeclaration@lemmy.world avatar

The developer of Sync for Reddit, is planning on developing Sync for Lemmy. Not sure if you ever used Sync for Reddit, but it is a great 3rd party Reddit app, so I'm really looking forward to Sync for Lemmy.

Thank you so much for your detailed explanation.

That’s really interesting. Thanks for telling me that.

I’ll probably be in the minority here, but my favorite kind of music is Rock/Hard Rock, such as artists like Shinedown, Theory of a Deadman, Avenged Sevenfold, …
