Oneser,

Everyone arguing dumb things here because of a dumb title. Pronounce = how it phonetically sounds, Nickname = alternative or shortened name. They are not synonyms :)

Oneser,

Not owning a car with smart features

Oneser,

There is no option currently, and no political interest to change it. Maybe this report will change that… Let’s see

Oneser,

Is this not standard AAA title pricing?

Oneser,

Antarctica and the north pole will likely see a significant rise in tourists/refugees, no?

Oneser,

They mean to say: Skyrim was so buggy at release, it was definitely close to unplayable. Even the latest patches don’t fix some issues from day 1. (BUT: it’s the only game from its era I can go back and play now and still be completely immersed)

Oneser,

let’s avoid America-bashing

HOW SHIT IS TIPPING CULTURE!

🙈

Oneser,

Don’t get me wrong, the tipping system (among numerous other aspects) is a joke for customers, But it has massive benefits if you end up in the right job, in the right restaurant.

Absolutely no idea how many end up in the same situation, maybe the minority, but all the servers I met travelling (especially girls) would make many times more than anyone working the same job in Europe for less hours.

Plus, we have tipping in most European cities I’ve visited… Most waiters I know are on minimum wage and only survive via tips. Is it different for you?

Oneser,

I’ve worked in 3 and lived in 1 (for 10+ years) of those countries as service and have always been tipped… Maybe it is just a local thing

Oneser,

The Tories have literally just stolen conservative Australia’s early 2000’s immigration policies. Offshore “processing” which never actually happens, hardline “stop the boats!” which in reality is just “ban journalists talking about the boats” and “break down the smuggling gangs” which ends up just being “throw money at a foreign regime to enable our companies to exploit their resources via shitty contracts”.

If this had anything to do with bringing order to the asylum process, it would involve providing resources to said process.

USB-C confirmed for the iPhone 15 in new leaked images - Macworld (www.macworld.com)

We’ve known that the iPhone is switching to USB-C for a while now, but there was always a possibility that Apple would stick with Lightning for one more year. Based on the latest leaked images, however, Apple is all-in on USB-C for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models, with USB-C parts for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and...

Oneser,

As I commented above, the regulation clearly states “any additional charging protocol allows for the full functionality of PD… irrespective of the charging device used.”

So they can’t have both unless they split EU & RoW devices.

Oneser,

Laptops are being gradually added to the list of devices within scope of this change. It only counts for any new device being sold on the market after the changes take effect.

The clause only makes sure that chargers do not limit, when connected to competitors devices. The regulation is coming from an e-waste perspective, which the EU has made it clear that it is not interested in entertaining or letting companies push them around.

Oneser,

In many cases, I agree, but this comment definitely isn’t true for those with mental illness etc. I would argue it’s a matter of perspective, and not all aspects of perspective can be changed on a whim.

Oneser,

Most applications assume max 2 charge/discharge cycles per day, don’t they?

And where space is not an issue, a cheaper option could be favourable? Im afraid I don’t understand both your points

Oneser,

Not op, but this change won’t happen overnight and charging infrastructure is relatively trivial as long as the energy supply is available.

There are many aspects coming in, such as smarter charging when the price of electricity (based on other local demand) is lowest to reduce the need for significant capacity. Also Car2House/Grid/x aspects, where the flow of energy is two-way (charge battery, or e.g. use the EV battery to power the house) , making car batteries a type of decentralised energy storage system etc.

There are a million solutions being worked on for energy supply security atm. Maybe 1000 of those are viable and only 10s of them will make it to market.

Honest question does the dragon fight gets better?

This is my first elder scrolls game so here’s my honest thought. I fought the first dragon in Whiterun, then the blood dragons a bunch of times, Durnehviir (he’s okay because he can use necromancy) and Naaslaarum and Volslaarum. My question is does their fight gets better or they kinda samey with small differences? For...

Oneser,

On every playthrough, I’ll get to level 20+ and just charge through the main storyline until I get the Dragonrend shout to make the dragon fights quicker.

The first fight when the game was released was amazing, but it got tiring quickly.

Oneser,

The one thing I don’t see mentioned enough for keeping your apartment cool is to close all windows and draw all curtains during the day and open them when the temperature outside is lower than that inside (normally ~an hour after sunset).

Heat reflects off all surface, so it’s not just about keeping light out.

Blinds on the outside of your windows help significantly too.

Oneser,

I mean if you have air conditioning, then most tips here are irrelevant and the only tip would be “put your air conditioning on”.

Almost all areas on or north of the Alps in Europe don’t have AC (cos they never needed it) and buildings are made to keep heat in.
