Bedrock or Java? If Java there are better 3rd party launchers that work like PrismLauncher

THANK YOU LEMMINGS!!! Update (lemmy.world)

Merry Happy! I posted a few days ago asking for help with a prelit tree that had entire portions not lighting up, or flickering like crazy. It was a crack tree situation and I could not find anything helpful on my own and you wonderful people came together and saved Christmas/ yamainwitch-mas. I was literally ready to just throw...

Glad you got it working; but damn, you just buried the whole tree. Never seen that much decoration on a tree outside of movies.

You know you can make a cobble generator without the risk of turning lava into obsidian. Great way to afk-mine but slower than mining natural smooth stone

Lava casting cobble doesn’t really make sense to me since you can get a stone pick very easily, mine in bulk and place in bulk and be done faster i think. No need for iron even.

And smooth stone generator requires placing water sources which makes it even slower than cobble generator. And mining natutal smooth stone is faster because you mine it faster than cobble and there is no delay between blocks, like there is in generator. The difference is small but still there.

You can, just copy the world directory and see that it’s the same name as in server.propertiesfile

How is running a game with proton different in Steam and Lutris?

I have had numerous cases where a non-Steam game would run perfectly through Steam with Proton but the same game wouldn’t even launch through Lutris, even though I used the exact same Proton version. How are they different? Is there anything that Steam does in the background that Lutris won’t?...

MrStetson,

Proton is basically just a version of Wine but Steam has other runtime apps like Pressure Vessel that work together making the game run. Don’t know if Lutris has anything else than managing and running the apps in the Wine prefix with specified Wine version. This is as deep as my knowledge goes.

Sora shaders work fairly well with distant horizons. It doesn’t look as good as no shaders but still amazing
