Well, yes, those caricatures are based off black people that worked in the food industry and came to represent a big part of it. So food brands held on to the image as a way to sell their product. Adopting the voice of a black kid for the AI drive through is not much different imo. It’s a fictional representation of a person that used to do that same job.
Thank you. I always thought Dave Chappelle was a spiteful comedian, and actually was not very funny. He just turned that energy towards trans people so now he’s become a problem for people. But he was never really that funny to begin with, and the root of his jokes always had some sort of vitriol.

It was wild, I couldn’t believe what I saw when I poked my head in, I was so turned off by it I haven’t been back. Usually the memes on NCD were nuanced and made fun of a niche aspect about the war, but last time I was there it was this frenzy about murdering palestinians. No jokes, no elaboration, nothing. It felt so unnatural for NCD that I started thinking the comments and posts were astroturfed. Because when I checked NCD here on Lemmy the post felt more in line of what I would expect, funny but not vitriolic.
Too many people actually agree with the christpfascist state. Unfortunately rioting won’t change their minds, if anything swing more support to their cause. The situation is completely fucked.
