I too would like to know the answer to this question. I couldn’t determine how to do so even on the example page where they sent me after updating.

I have a Care Bear my husband gave me for Christmas one year, and the dogs aren’t allowed to play with it. Sometimes when I’m reading in bed, our older dog will decide she wants attention, and she will grab that specific bear, all while making eye contact, because she knows I’ll chase her for it

That’s why they oppose universal healthcare here in the US – they wan’t access to special treatment.

What they don’t realize is they can still have Mommy’s Super Special Boy™ access, since even in a system of universal healthcare, there’s still a demand for private practice.

So really, it just boils down to them hating poor people and other marginalized groups

So he’s a liberal who supports establishment Democrats? Considering how you worded it, I expected something more scandalous and less … boring

My local library and state library network don’t have books on topics like anarchism and communism, so I still end up buying books

(I know I could read them online free, but I find it much more pleasant to lie in bed and read a book vs. squinting at my phone, and I try to pass them on to someone else when I’m finished)

made from wheat structurates, palm oil, binders, emulgators, stabilizers, artificial flavors, preservatives and food coloring agents.

I’m not sure what your local market carries, but I have celiac and lactose intolerance, so I have to read labels very, very carefully. I assure you that most vegan meat substitutes are not as you present them. They’re pretty healthy and easy to digest, actually. And they taste good, too!

Maybe in the 1970s and 80s they were like this, but not now.

While I genuinely feel bad for economically disadvantaged workers with long commutes in used vehicles, I can’t help but notice most of the complaints about fuel prices come from people who: A. Shout down anyone trying to improve public transportation infrastructure by saying it can’t work in rural areas (it can, and has), and B. Own outrageously large personal vehicles that guzzle gas and houses with 2+ stall garages.

I’ll listen to complaining from anyone who doesn’t fall into one or both of these two groups.

A westie mix I had once ate 9 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I called the vet, and they told me to give her 10cc of peroxide every 15 minutes until she vomited.

After doing so for 90 minutes, I called them again, and they told me to stop, and that she’d probably be fine, which she was.

Couldn’t one just set privacy.resistfingerprinting to true instead of using another addon?

LinkOpensChest_wav,

Oh, I didn’t realize it had other side effects. Maybe I’ll just keep using JShelter then.

I currently use JShelter because that seemed to be the app of choice among r/privacy users

Proton services discussion

I’ll start off by saying everyone’s economic situations are just as varied as their threat models and how people make decisions on which services can be specific to themself and not one that can apply to anyone else. The services one chooses to use for free or to pay for may be based more on what they can afford vs what’s...

LinkOpensChest_wav,

Agreed. Having choices is a good thing. I’m quite happy with Bitwarden, but I was happy to see that Proton is offering a password manager as well.

Elon Musk demanded a cameo in Cyberpunk 2077 while wielding a 200 year old gun: "I was armed but not dangerous" (www.pcgamer.com)

While Elon’s then-partner Grimes was recording her part in the game as cyborg popstar Lizzy Wizzy, the erratic tech billionaire turned up with an antique firearm to “insist” on being included in the game. “The studio guys were like sweating,” Grimes is quoted as saying. Musk adds “I told them that I was armed but not...

Believe me, I know, but it’s the only thing Hyundai offered me as a “solution” and I don’t really know an affordable way to make it more secure

I don’t drive much, so I guess that helps?

That’s a good idea! Honestly, I could probably get a cheap one that really works. Those cameras have really come down in price.

Installation would be the only barrier for me.

LinkOpensChest_wav,
@LinkOpensChest_wav@lemmy.one avatar

The problem is seldom the cost of the equipment, but rather it’s the installation cost that gets you every time. By the time you pay for that, then there’s half the value of my stupid car.

I’m really kinda perturbed by Hyundai not manufacturing their cars with proper security in the first place.

I haven’t received anything in 2 days since early 2020, and what finally made me cancel is they took forever to even ship one of my items that was in stock. I ordered two things, one was shipped by the seller and arrived in 3 or 4 days, the other was from the same seller but shipped by Amazon, and they didn’t even initiate shipping until a week later.

I was paying for a service that’s objectively worse than the norm.

I became hyper aware of it the first time I tried using Tik Tok, and I was served nothing but alt-right hate videos. Obviously, search engines aren’t usually quite so obvious, but for instance, people in my location are certainly more likely to net results connected to far-right ideas and agencies, because of the interests of people who live here.

I don’t like that idea at all. Search engines should only respond to deliberate input from the user imo. I know that’s a big ask for people to acclimate to appending “in [location name]” if they expect location specific results, but the convenience of just saying “hey Google, restaurants near me” is not worth the consequences.

Unfortunately, almost all search engines are complicit, including supposedly privacy friendly ones like Kagi, Qwant, and Startpage. I’m no longer recommending those to people. SearXNG and Mojeek are the only ones that don’t lean into the algorithmic and locational fuckery, but even that’s with a lot of tweaking the settings.

It’s no great mystery why things like fascism are on the rise. And people will say I’m in the minority for caring about this, and … yeah, that’s the problem.
