i would gladly pay for that. the only reason i’m not streaming is the inconsistency of it all. and to watch all of the stuff i want to watch, that would be 60€+ a month. plus the godawful UI. but i’m not entitled to complain, i use jellyfin.

the watchband is what makes or breaks a watch for me. had multiple smart watches with varying watchbands.

you might enjoy one made from fabric or a slightly thin leather one, body hair gets caught in metal ones and my skin seems to not like silicone very much.

die einfache lösung wäre natürlich eine genormte einbauhöhe und eine maximale wattzahl, aber darauf kommt man natürlich nicht.

dann ist ja theoretisch alles gut, wäre da nicht noch der endnutzer, der sowas scheinbar frei ändern darf. wied das nicht beim TÜV jedes mal geprüft? (man kann sowas aber auch wie mit motorrädern regeln, ein dämpfer für den tüv, und einen für alles andere)

wir müssen ja nicht gleich eine revolution anzetteln, wir können aber für leute wählen die den markt regulieren wollen. wir können für leute wählen die das konzept des bürgergeldes gut finden. problem ist nur, ich fühle mich nicht repräsentiert und ich kriege nicht ausreichend mit, was im bundestag alles so passiert. soweit ich weiss, geht das vielen so.

if a movie didn’t get a sequel it is either the greates masterpiece ever made or so unbelievably bad no one tried to save the idea. so i’m fine with pretty much any movie not getting a sequel. but i do wonder why star wars visions never went anywhere (technically not a movie but a series)

like in star wars. ep.7 was hilariously bad, yet they tried to save it 2 more times and failed both times.

contrary to that, the prequels were quite good. and they got sequels.

they’re not universally hated like the sequels. there are always people who don’t like a movie for one reason or another. and making fun of people who like specific movies is pathetic, old man.

i have rewatched them a few times since they came out.

i do think the are a little worse than the originals and they are by far not my favorite movies ever, but they are decently coherent, and they fleshed out the lore of star wars quite a bit.

these movies are what got me into star wars the way i am into FNAF or similar franchises now.

i have to respect them for that.

plus they have awesome VFX.

What phone do you sugest for your grandparents?

I got a task to buy a smart phone for my grandparents, they are not techsavy but they know how to use basic functions. Iam looking for an andoid because it has language pack i need. I dont need it to have lots of functions, onley a good camera and a big screen. Bonus points if it can be flashed with some kind of simplefied...

if you’re located in europe, fairphones might be an option. pretty expensive for what they are, but they get 7 years of software support. plus they’re easily fixable if your grandparents are a bit clumsy.

they have been getting bigger every generation, and the cameras are quite usable under normal lighting conditions.

i misread that, and thought the entire country was going to implement it. this really does make a lot of sense (in this particular city). but i woudn’t go around and limit traffic in every city to 30km/h like some politicians in germany tried to do.

noch schlommer sind die rentner mit abgefahrenen allwetterreifen. wenn’s schlimm kommt, gibt’s nicht mal ABS in der kiste.

die mäuse sind tatsächlich das einzige wo logitech noch einigermaßen “marktführend” ist. ich suche mich aber schon nach anderen firmen um, da meine pro x superlight nicht mehr die neueste ist.

toyotas sind da empfehlenswert, es wird aber schwierig einen so alten aufzutreiben. selbst wald-und-wiesen-corollas sind tausende euro wert.

persönlich fahre ich den ersten yaris. kleiner motor, dadurch wenig steuern. zu seiner zeit sicheres auto, dadurch wenig versicherung. 6L verbrauch auf extremer kurzstrecke, man kommt auf längeren strecken locker auf 5,5 oder weniger.

hab ich erwähnt, dass ich inkl. “erstreparaturen” 2000€ bezahlt habe?

häufigst nur die gummiteile, schläuche sind meist universalgrößen, und sonstige gummiteile sind für wenig geld zu haben (je nach modell natürlich). das war bei unserem 914 so das einzige.

lexus ist ja auch luxus, und die autos halten gerne mal 500.000. hat wohl damit zu tun dass es eine tochterfirma von toyota ist.

die lagerbuchsen der vorderachse teilt er sich mit dem 911. sowas kostet auf den ersten blick 100€. die achsschenkel kosten pro stück auf autodoc ähnlich viel. natürlich nur materialkosten, aber freie werkstätten können dafür nicht mehr als ein paar stunden brauchen.

gegen korrosion kann man sich sehr einfach schützen. man muss nur damit anfangen bevor der wagen schon rostlöcher hat.

alles noch im grünen bereich, finde ich. wenn man das einmal gemacht hat, halt das nämlich auch noch mal 30 jahre.

now imagine that with a 20 year old car whose engine regularly gets 400k km and gets up to 40mpg (around 5-6L/100km). and did i mention that i paid 2000€ for it? why would i now spend 50-100k on an electric car that lasts 20 years tops?
