IamAnonymous,

Same thing on iOS. I just search for the app on the browser so it takes me directly to the app without these ads.

IamAnonymous,

They have an American and Indian spice level lol. A place near me on DoorDash has these as separate options 😂

I run a homelab and have no trouble finding enthusiasts who go super in-depth about how to use the hardware and software. Where are the good Apple ecosystem enthusiasts?

So as the title says, I run a homelab with various technologies — Proxmox, Home Assistant, a reverse proxy, lots of Ubiquiti equipment, and so on. Over the years I’ve consumed countless hours of articles, stack overflow posts, youtube channels, and knowledge bases to keep myself up to speed on how to use this equipment and...

IamAnonymous,

I have learnt a lot of tricks just through comments here and on Reddit. You can change what the ‘Triple Click The Side Button’ does in a setting under Accessibility. I use it to toggle VoiceControl to control my phone while driving. There is a manual for every iOS version. Maybe all the tips and tricks are covered there.

IamAnonymous,

This is brilliant!! I’m going to start doing this as well. Thanks.

IamAnonymous,

I do this whenever I get a new iPhone. Backup the old phones and include all the apps to be safe. I set up my new phone as new and start using it and download apps when I need it. So I go from 150+ apps to only the default ones so it eliminates any app I barely used on my old phone. I carry my old phone with me for a few days just in case I need to access some app immediately but if you have unlimited data you wouldn’t need to do that.

You can have some apps and settings on iCloud which will get carried over - like Health, Fitness, Passwords etc.

They are some settings which don’t get carried over, like the mail app defaults to Archive on swipe and I need to change to Trash. You’ll anyway figure it out if you are used to one setting. If it’s not usable you can always install the backup. So far I don’t mind starting fresh.

IamAnonymous,

It will be stored on iCloud. You need to make sure iCloud setting is turned on.

IamAnonymous,

Backup to a laptop if you need to.

IamAnonymous,

Make sure WhatsApp backup is turned on. That’s one thing I always make sure is done as you’ll not be able to login to your old phone to get the chats

IamAnonymous,

Nope. The old one will just work on WiFi or hotspot if I’m away from home. But in my experience, I only needed my old phone at home to look up some message or a photo which doesn’t need WiFi. After a couple of weeks I just turned my old phone off.

IamAnonymous,

It could be the Netflix show.

Saints Row Reboot is Awesome (files.catbox.moe)

I’m loving it. I’ve played the whole series for years and I think it’s fantastic. Like, I understand that it’s more PC than SR2 and some take issue with that, but I feel like the hatred towards it has become a bandwagon. I personally like that it took a more grounded but still progressive position in its storytelling. I...

IamAnonymous,

Does it actually save battery? Genuine question. I did this like 10 years ago but now, I don’t think Bluetooth drains significant battery. I only expect a 1-3% drain over 24 hours.

IamAnonymous,

Lol. We already started iPhone 16 predictions.

Max wants to push alerts on viewers when there is breaking news on CNN. (variety.com)

CNN Max is likely to evolve over time. Among the features the company will try out are ways of alerting Max viewers to breaking news while they are watching something else on the service, whether it be an HBO series, a Turner Classic Movies selection or an old episode of Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”...

IamAnonymous,

I just looked up PS Plus prices. Wth. Why does everything have to go up in price? The same service costs $20 more? I used to always get the codes on sale and now that’s harder to get so I was already thinking twice about renewing. Now with the price increase, I might as well just not renew it.

IamAnonymous,

You cannot use any other Bluetooth device apart from the one they just launched?

IamAnonymous,

How is that not possible with dual esims?

IamAnonymous,

Yeah, I don’t understand where people are getting a SIM card nowadays without an ID or verification.

IamAnonymous,

There is a full-option car to reduce assembly line complexity which reduces the manufacturing cost. You have one line and components building one car and then you can pay for what you want. If they build a separate line for a cheaper car it won’t be as cheap anymore. Subscriptions, on the other hand, is a different business model and I don’t agree with subscriptions for cars.

IamAnonymous,

Please don’t post with clickbait titles.

IamAnonymous,

Have you listed the web app for AliExpress? I can’t make the website name from the web app name.

IamAnonymous,

Thank you!

IamAnonymous,

Thanks for the warning. I learnt many years ago to not fund any project on Kickstarter. I haven’t been burned but I hate the wait after I have already paid and it definitely sucks if the product is not what you expected. So now, I just follow them and if they successfully launch I’ll buy it. They usually put in on sale at the same price for Backers so I don’t fall for the discounted price anymore.

Have you replaced your iPhone battery, and was it worth it?

I’ve had an iPhone 12 mini since launch and the battery life has become pretty abysmal. However, I’m reluctant to replace it with a newer, bigger model. My battery health is sitting at 86%, which really doesn’t sound that bad, but I feel like the actual battery life is way worse than when I bought it. Has anyone replaced...

IamAnonymous,

It’s also in the iPhone Analytics in settings app. You can Google it and there is a Siri Shortcut to easily find the cycle count.

IamAnonymous,

Get the battery replaced, because you probably need one, and do a Backup and Restore. Should fix all the issues. I had the X for 5 years and it works perfectly fine. I just upgraded because I wanted a new phone. If you don’t reinstall all the apps from backup it’s even better as you end up installing so many apps and barely use them.
