New clothes have a machining oil residue from the manufacturing process. This gets cleaned off when you wash them. But when you first wear them you’re well oiled!
Thermally conductive liquids on the outside, light, thermally insulating solids on the centre. Otherwise it’s more difficult to reduce the temperature.
It’s a bit of a weird shower thought but basically I was wondering hypothetical if it would be possible to take data from a social media site like Reddit and map the most commonly used words starting at 1 and use a separate application to translate it back and forth....
Every time when a YouTube video is embedded in Lemmy, a bot appears, suggesting to use Front-end Piped (or another) instead of YT, which is certainly recommended, due to YouTube’s inherent privacy concerns....
FileCoffee just refused this picture, citing file type, that shows all the javas it uses. Carbonads; cloudflareinsights; google-analytics. How about [email protected] ?
In your first post of Pixeldrain ther wasent an 1.avif file, but one with the extension jxl and a broken image icon. Now you say it’s a simple jpg, which naturally can be opened even with the obsolete paint.
Nope. I never said that. But I did put before you a challenge to open that, perfectly functional, jpg in your browser…the one you’ve never had problems with when opening images.
I don’t want to download an image or file to see it
Nor do I and I don’t. As the second screen capture, saved as an avif, showed you: my Firefox handles jxl just fine due to the add-in. And beta versions, like Firefox Nightly, handle the format natively.
here we speak about image sharing with embed code to insert in Lemmy or other sites, like I do it with the screenshots I make,
Me too. But I found FileCoffee didn’t support my first jxl screen capture of the NoScript report of FileCoffee’s javas use. A disappointment, when you had said it “supports ALL types of files”.
I have a bit of a thing of watching Darts and sometimes professional bowling. Two things that are best described as ‘pub games’ but are treated as sports in some fields. I can accept the argument that it’s boring watching two dudes, literally, go in a circle as they throw 3 darts at a time, chipping at 501....
Somehow you’ve gotten your dream home. The cabin in the mountains, penthouse downtown, castle nestled deep in the woods, nuclear bunker in the hills, or whatever. A tunnel, as in a disused railway tunnel. Could build in it - rooms, short corridors, leading to other rooms, other corridors - on and on as long as money and cheap building materials allow. Fill it with disturbing symmetries: same objects in the same places over and over. Maybe a giant isopod in formaldehyde.
I have tried to post images dozens of times in Jeroba and on web and it often crashes or doesn’t let me submit images. Tips on where to host these so they show up in the feed (and don’t require the user to click to another site)
Obviously it wouldn’t be allowed in this community, but how feasible would it be to make a community on a friendly instance and start shipping data through it somehow? If it works for NNTP it ought to work for ActivityPub, right?...

Could you compress text files by mapping a word to how commonly it is used and translating it with an application?
