Affinity is the best non Adobe image editing suite. The Foss stuff just doesn’t compare, imo. Even if feature parity, the UI of Foss image editing softwares is hotshit.

Godot uses a language which is similar to Python, GDScript. I avoided Godot for a long time because I thought it was some sort of kiddy language meant for children to make games. I was wrong
GDScript is actually very robust. It uses a familiar syntax to python, and it is built using C++
You can also use C# and C++ if you don’t want to use GDScript. I use C# for most of my actual game logic, and then use GDScript for stuff where performance isn’t an issue or for something that only takes a couple minutes to write.
Godot also has a shader language similar to HLSL, and it’s a robust option, too. It has built in networking, exports to Android very easily.
You can use libraries really easily, so if you have a C# or C++library you want to use, it’s super simple.
I recommend you at least try it, the whole engine is really small in comparison to Unity or Unreal and there is no installation. You just download it and run the exe

As a person who grew up with unrestricted access to violent media, I argue against this point.
I was watching violent and bloody films like Blade, Kill Bill, From Dusk Till Dawn around the time I was 5. There are a host of violent games avaliable from that time, too.
I feel like there are two reasons one would seek this type of media out: the aesthetics of violence (there’s a reason John Wick has 4 films) and genuine psychopathy, a craving to emulate.
I’d argue very few people have an actual craving to emulate extreme violence, even in an environment saturated with its artificial presentation, and that those people would do so without the access to said saturated media. I blame the parents mostly. It’s not the movies that make the attitude for how to treat others, it’s how you’re shown to treat others in real life

I used to make shit post comments where I would vehemently demand something as fact, and even cite sources. At the time, I thought people were upvoting them because they saw it was satire and shared my humor. Later, I had someone ping my account as a citation to their own argument, and when I chimed in and told them it was a shit post, they blocked me and deleted the comment with the ping.
I realized that I was just spreading misinformation and the fact that it was satire flew right over people’s heads. I didn’t think it was anywhere near subtle.
If you say something confidently enough, and add in some fake but legit sounding sources, people will just believe you.

So you’re telling me now the mods have a financial incentive to do this? And what if as a money generating post gets removed simply because a mod doesn’t like it, even though it doesn’t break any rules?
I also feel like the quality of posts is about to implode even further from this. You’re not asking artists or musicians or even meme creators to post, you’re asking reposters to repost content that already did good.
