#ThisWeek : #colour#foliage#seed and #sun (also rain!) for #SixOnSaturday a lot of leaves on the ground, but still colour to be found, especially in the understory and some plants /trees that turn later than others.
Top left Prunus- a plum variety growing well in the last few years-- after its pollinating mate died 🙄 Centre Ontario native Aralia racemosa ripened some berries, though the plants have mostly frozen down, now. #garden@plants#NativePlants#autumn#fall#Alberta#October cont---
My #SixOnSaturday shows that we are heading towards Autumn here in zone 5. The large sedums are just starting to bloom and the Solomon's Seal and Solomon's Plume have berries. The "Plume" berries aren't totally ripe yet.
I only have names for 2 of the sedums. The lower right corner is Mr. Goodbud (still in its pot and waiting to be planted) and just above it is Back In Black.
About 10 hours late on #SixOnSaturday ! so why not throw in a couple more days: #FungiFriday and #MushroomMonday ! I take lots of photos of the many local fungi/ #mushrooms, but don't have names. Late summer/early fall (just a couple of weeks away, here) is peak season for many sorts. + a couple of #flower pics from the #garden that are hard to fit in colour themed collages- I don't have many in these shades! Details in replies. @plants@nature#florespondence#nature#Alberta#BloomScrolling

Top left and right- a couple of #heritage peas- I grow a number of mange-tout /snow peas/sugar peas and soup varieties- several start out as the first and mature to the second. Most of the flowers look like these-- some combination of pink or burgundy with white/lighter. I'd grow these just for the look of the plants-- I have some with deep violet pods also. #Gardening#insects#FlyDay#Alberta#Canada
