The Scottish Traditional Music Archive Directory is now live! 🥳

The directory brings together organisations in and outside Scotland with collections of Scottish traditional music.

Users can identify collection holders, find information on their catalogues, get in touch with them, and compare collections from different organisations.

ParetoOptimalDev, to linux in Which distro do you believe deserves more recognition?

So my intuition and guesses from what I’ve heard is that Fedora might be the best for you.

Here are some links:

labs.fedoraproject.org/jam/linuxmusicians.comarchive.ph/hYxrO

Not sure if oudated:

jfearn.fedorapeople.org/fdocs/en-US/…/index.html

If you want to use NixOS, the one I recommend elsewhere, I’m not sure what your experience will be whether good or bad. Probably more fiddling, but more flexible/stable in the long run.

Here is a matrix room if you are interested in asking more knowledgable people about that path:

GameDev problem: the music in our WebGL game on itch.io won't start until the user clicks in the window. Unity claims this is a browser limitation (no autoplay):

https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/webgl-audio.html

... but the user has already clicked to load and launch the game, so it seems there should be no reason to require another click. I know I've seen WebGL games on itch that don't have this problem.

Does anyone know a workaround?

Would any of these help? Otherwise like someone else said, music is one of the easiest things to find on the high seas.

Traveling light! So nice tackling audio edits from a foldable. We had all kinds of issues with my mic for this week's show, but I was able to balance it out a bit, without having to fire up a laptop. 😊

@asklemmy How do you listen to music / podcasts? At what places?

For me, I mostly listen on podcasts during my drive or commuting on the train, via bluebooth earphones even in my car.

When doing deep work such as on the computer, I listened to music out loud (bluetooth speaker) in my home office.
