People wrongly assume that Autistic people are asocial or anti-social. In my book "The New Normal" I make the case that we are AuSocial with our own cultural and social practices.

Here I expand on that a bit further.

My poll on how welcome you feel in autistic spaces as an person has ended.

Only 43% feel welcome.

A whopping 41% have felt unwelcome some or ALL of the time.

16% provided comment/nuance trending toward the 41% and offering reasons.

Seriously. We have GOT TO DO BETTER. We're failing, especially Autistic Elders. I have blog posts perking on this and will share when I have energy.

If you enjoy the content I create, you should check out my books!

The New Normal looks at neuronormativity in society and how it affects Autistic people.

Unusual Medicine talks about my experiences as an Autistic addict.

Even if you can't check out my books right now, sharing this post really helps me out.
