Time for the usual daily #anime#manga#DecRecs, and today I'm gonna rec Pandora Hearts by Mochizuki Jun.
Japan loves Alice in the Wonderland, and this is another tale with a twist on it. Our main character, Oz Vesalius, was told that his entire existence was a sin during his coming of age ceremony and was banished into the Abyss where creatures called Chains exist. He meets Alice, one of the Chains in the Abyss, made a contract with her to help her regain her lost memories and then together they bust out of the Abyss into the surface/normal world and found out that ten years have passed.
It's very hard to describe the plot... But the series starts off immediately intriguing, and there are lots of mysteries to unfold. Also, there are lots of heartaches and paaain... But the ending is satisfying, imo. And the art is very pretty.
I'd recommend not watching the anime until after you read the manga because the anime is not great (please, someone, readapt it) but the music is great (well, it's Yuki Kajiura) and the cast is A+.
I'd forgotten I preordered Associate Professor Akira Takatsuki's Conjecture Vol. 2 manga and it showed up just in time for my day off. 😊 It's a delightful paranormal cozy mystery series. I've read the first two light novel volumes and the manga is equally good. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C6YKNTQY
„Od dziś jestem zombie!” to rzecz w sam raz dla sympatyków komediowego ujęcia grozy. Losy Puuki i spółki niosą ze sobą taki zwariowany, bo równocześnie zakrapiany makabrą optymizm. Nie ukrywam też, że zwyczajnie polubiłam tę zombiaczą menażerię. 👍 🧟♀️
Five stars: The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, Volume 3 by Hitsuji Yamada (2020) deals with separation anxiety. Specifically, Saku's going on the biennial company retreat, a trip she skipped when Yukichi was a kitten.
📖September Book Wrap-Up 📖
Because of taking time for myself and enjoying a pleasant and relaxing vacation, I got to read more books, and not one of them disappointed me! It pays when you finally have time to read, which shows in #TheStoryGraph stats.
📖August Book Wrap-Up 📖
I think august was the month where I read longer books, but thankfully, not one of them disappointed! Even though August greeted me with thicker books, I still managed to find time to read exciting manga and picture books.

Five stars: The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again, Today, Volume 2 by Hitsuji Yamada (2019) continues to explore the relationship between Saku and her oversized cat, Yukichi. The two also spend more time with Saku's boss's niece, Yume-chan.
I dreamed that I leaned against a countertop at a public park and came away covered in blood. But then I found a container of fake blood and realized there was some sort of elaborate setup going on… and maybe I shouldn’t read so much #JunjiIto before bed. #manga#books#graphicnovels#comicbooks@bookstodon#bookstodon
I was a wild child, and I couldn't imagine a future where I wasn't a child who climbed rocks and slept in caves. At school, a sentence, a word, or a comma was enough to shoot me to some remote place, a landscape to explore, full of life and details. I rarely finished reading their books, and then there would be a test I couldn't complete. They never asked me about those second places, about all the places I escaped to. 20 years have passed, and I'm still there.
I would love some help from people who know #anime and #manga. My child is joining an online club (we can't do in-person anything because one of our family has compromised immunity). We know nothing about anime and manga. Are there any good shows on Paramount+, Netflix, or AppleTV? Also what is some good manga?
My child is 12 years old. Thank you in advance!!!!!
Five stars: The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again, Today by Hitsuji Yamada (2019) is about a man sized former stray cat who now serves the woman who rescued him during a snowstorm.
Four stars: Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, Volume 3 by Keigo Maki (2019) covers summer break. It includes a river trip, fireworks, video games, and a picnic.
Five stars: Laid-Back Camp, Volume 1 by Afro (2015) is the start of the friendship between Rin and Nadeshiko as well as the rise of the Outdoor Exploration Club.

Today's Anime/Manga question will be a lot simpler and more straightforward than the last ones, which is very fitting because the genre itself could be described in the same way.
What are your favorite Action Anime and Manga?
I'm expecting to see a lot of Shounen titles today. Especially titles released in Jump magazine. They're the most well-known titles and adored for a reason. Still, I'd be glad to also see some variety and also more serious action titles. It doesn't even have to be an action title, as long as you remember it because of the action. Well, it's up to you. Enjoy answering!
For an action #anime , I'm gonna go first with Girls Und Panzer, because that tank action is too good. (Also I see that you asked the other day about anime that promote something; somehow I ended up playing War Thunder instead of World of Tanks, but still pretty effective).
I also have to say Attack on Titan. Both the titan fights and the ODM gear fights are incredible to see animated, season 4 especially.
For a #manga (though not really the anime) I'll throw out Kingdom. (While I've heard the animation improved in later seasons, the season 1 animation was really wonky, so I quickly stopped watching.) I like the historical setting, in warring states era China, and especially in the earlier arcs I think there's a great balance between seeing combat in the small scale and seeing the flow of battle overall.
I should do a proper #introduction here...
I'm alxdre301. I watch #anime and read #manga a lot... if anything gets my taste, I will start to spend a day to finish it, LOL.
I prefer to watch #action, #bl, #detective. I like #psychopass and #bananafish the most, currently.
Fan of #KAITO :KaitoIceCream:, I had a bit weird taste of music, LOL.
A rhythm gamer, a Linux newbie, a gay.

You might see some other accounts which has the same username on mstdn.games and tech.lgbt, don't worry, it's me, but I want to take focus to Japanese-culture otaku on this account.
Hello everyone! I finally decided to join mastodon after my dissatisfaction with Reddit (especially frustration stemming from being a huge subreddit mod; goodbye essential moderation tools!)
I’m hoping to engage with the community sharing my interests like
🇬🇧 below
•Madam: Was zum Teufel machst du da?
•Maid: Der Herr Baron befehlte mich so zu hocken und nichts zu unternehmen egal was mit mir passiert.
•Madam: Hat dich jemand so gesehen?
•Maid: Ja der Butler.
•Madam: Und warum triefst du da unten aus?
•Maid: Schluchz, Ihr Sohn...Madam.
•Madam: What the hell are you doing?
•Maid: The Lord Baron ordered me to crouch like this and not do anything no matter what happens to me.
•Madam: Has anyone seen you like this?
•Maid: Yes the butler.
•Madam: And why are you leaking down there?
•Maid: Sob, your son...Madam.
